Entangled With You

• - PROLOGUE - •

As I opened my eyes, a blinding light welcomed my sight. Wild phlox scent filled the air that suddenly enveloped and ran through my system, as if telling my shaking well- being to calm down.

Nandito na naman ako sa pamilyar na lugar na ‘to. Ang totoo niyan, ilang beses ko nang napanaginipan ang ganitong tagpo at sa tuwing nandito ako, pakiramdam ko ay minsan na akong naging bahagi ng mundong ’to.

Nasa harap ako ng isang napaka- eleganteng palasyo na may matatayog na haligi. Puti ang halos lahat ng mga bagay na makikita sa paligid. Mula sa pintura ng pader at haligi, pati ang mga unipormeng pandigma na suot ng mga hula ko’y kawal dahil may dala- dala silang mahahabang espada.

Napalunok ako nang mamataan ang halos dalawampung bantay dahil pakiramdam ko anytime, pupugutan nila ako ng ulo.

A few meters away from where I was standing, I noticed the girl who I usually saw inside of my dream.

After taking uncounted heavy breaths, she had finally gathered a courage to enter the main hall of Heaven Temple. I followed her and luckily, the guards seemed unbothered with my invading presence. The more steps I took, the more nervous I felt. The girl desperately closed her eyes when Kijani’s words uninvitedly replayed in her mind. Kijani is the mighty and arrogant God of War in Heaven Realm.

Paano ko nalaman?

Ewan.

Hindi ko rin alam. Basta feeling ko lang kilalang- kilala ko siya.

“Red, His Highness summoned you at the Heaven Temple. Remember, don’t be late. He’s not patient even to the fairest goddess like you.”

I agressively shook my head to throw away the annoying image of Kijani’s grinning face. I was left with nothing but confusion when I clearly heard Kijani’s voice but his image remained blurry.

Umirap ako.  “Nanakot pa ang p*ta.”

When the girl reached the main hall, she immediately kneeled and bowed down to give respect.

“I, Cyfrin, the Goddess of Love, is now humbly announcing my presence in front of you, Your Highness,”  she stated with all courage and confidence.

The Supreme Creator faced her and his helmet, which contained a luminator that emits a blinding light, stopped me from naughtily peeking to see his appearance.

Kaagad akong nagtago. Mahirap na. Baka mamaya maparusahan ako nang wala sa oras.

“Rise, my child.”

His voice thundered inside the Heaven Temple– bounty screaming how powerful and rightful he is.

Kinilabutan nang malala ang buong sistema ko.

Tumayo ang babae ngunit hindi na ito nagtaas pa ng ulo. Nanatili siyang nakayuko subalit atentibong nakaabang sa sunod na sasabihin ng Supreme Creator.

“The world is now in chaos. The demons are shamelessly announcing their arrogance. I am worried about the safety of the Heaven Realm that’s why I summoned you here today. I have heard of your legacy and you have proven your loyalty to me for over two thousand years. Now, I want you to do your responsibility as a mighty protector of marriage. Starting from today, I will pass a decree that allowed you to enter the Kardia Temple and became its enormous protector.”

“I am honored to oblige, Your Highness!”

May ilang bagay na sinabi pa ang Supreme Creator pero ilang metro rin ang layo ko sa kanila kaya nahirapan akong marinig ang mga huli nitong bilin. Sayang, ’di tumatalab ang marites power ko rito. The marites spirit within me was totally disappointing. Hindi man lang magawang gumana in the most difficult times, kainis!
