CHAPTER 13 - THE PLAN

"NANCY, just stay with me! Stay with me, okay?!" Steve's pleading in the Upside Down can be heard by the crew as they frantically rummage around Eddie's room for a song to wake Nancy, who is currently held in one of Vecna's trances.

"Whatever you guys are doing up there, hurry up!"

Erica runs to the bedroom to pass on the message, "Steve says you need to hurry!" Dustin turns around and screeches in the girls face, "Yeah, no shit!" 

"We're trying, we can't find anything," Max announces to Erica with a disappointed tone. Robin turns to Eddie in annoyance. "Seriously, what is all this shit?!"

Eddie waves his hands around in defence. "What are you even looking for?!" He screams back, coming closer to Robin to help her search. Robin skips through the tapes as Astoria opens another drawer, soon closing it when she realises it's his underwear drawer.

"Madonna, Blondie, Bowie, Beatles? Music! We need music!"

"That is music!" Eddie and Astoria shout back in unison, adding increasingly to the stressed atmosphere in the room.  

Robin throws a Blondie tape on the floor, breaking it, Astoria gasps in mourning and winces. "What did the tape ever do to you!" She screams at Robin angrily, holding up the destroyed tape for her to see what she had done.

Suddenly, a loud cheer of joy turns everyone's eyes to the door going out to the living room, "She's awake!" The six exchange looks of relief before they all start stumbling towards the Gate to greet a now awaken Nancy.

At the sights of the girl's open and not possessed, Astoria lets out a heavy exhale of relaxation.

At next light, the group gathers in Max's trailer, listening to what Nancy's visions contained. She gulps and starts to tell her story with a hoarse voice, "He showed me thing that haven't happened yet, the most awful things."

Steve looks down and clasps his hands together. "I saw... a dark cloud spreading over Hawkins." Nancy continues grimly, beginning to list things that she saw, "Downtown on fire, dead soldiers."

Beer is situated comfortably on the table, some are sitting on the couch, the others either standing up or sitting down on the carpet. "And this... giant creature with a gaping mouth."

Dustin's eyes fill with realisation, looking over to where Lucas is standing by the phone. Nancy adds on, "And this creature wasn't alone, there were so many monsters."

She shakes her head as though she's still in disbelief of what Vecna had shown her. "An army, and they were coming to into Hawkins." Astoria sharply inhales in nervousness.

"Into our neighbourhoods, our homes."

Eddie glances at Astoria and gives her a chilling look, a look that confirmed that he too was hearing what she was saying, and this wasn't just a weird nightmare.
