You and Scaramouche walked, hand in hand, down a long hallway with other people.
"I hate not having my hat, I hate having to hold your hand, I hate having to pretend I'm married to a creature like you." He whisper-talked to you while keeping his smile for others.
You two were attending a party hosted by the Fontaine Archon with the help of certain twins you two were looking for, and figure why the Traveller was in court and how it can lead to getting the next gnosis. But as of now, Scaramouche had only complained ever since they stepped in the hallway.
"Just say you hate this mission." You spoke up, tired of his ranting.
"Holy shit, you used your brain for the first ever."
You bunched you hands into a fist and punched him in the stomach, earning a bit a gasp from here, "Shut up now, someone's coming here."
You and him put on a smile, you sensing his anger as his skin gets hotter and hotter from anger. Someone approaches you two, and bows down. You could feel Scaramouche smiling sadistically inside when the person bowed.
"We appreciate you accepting our invite Mr and Mrs. Sato," he slowly lifts his head and looks you up and down, "You look absolutely gorgeous Mrs. Sato."
He reaches for your hand and kisses the back of it in respect, maybe even more in Scaramouche's eyes. "Thank you! You're really sweet! Now, might you know where we can get refreshments?"
"Of course, please follow me."
When he turned around, Scaramouche scoffed as he tightens his grip on you and pulls you closer to him.
"Woah, what's this for?" You ask for his possessive behaviour.
"Well...I don't want you going off and hooking up with random guys in the middle of this." He rolls his eyes.
"Oh~? I thought you liked working alone, me being away would only make you happy," you tease him while speaking closer to his ear, "Besides, everyone here looks like crap, I bet they would be horrible at it, maybe not you though~"
His faces gets warm as he tries to hide his blush while pushing you away from him while giggling slightly, "I don't need to hear your slutty talk, come on now."

"Okay so let's discuss the phases,"
He leans against a wall while swirling his drink in the glass, making sure nobody else was listening.
"We don't need to, it's really simple." You say, going for your second shot.
