Gingerbread Houses •───────•°•❀•°•───────•
Childe
When it comes to making gingerbread houses, it is quite the competitive sport between you and Childe. But when it's at Childe's home in Snezhnaya, it's a whole war. His siblings -Teucer, Anthon and Tonia- they would usually pick a side. Anthon going with you most times, Tonia going with Childe. Teucer being there to referee and to eat the gingerbread houses afterwards.
"C'mon [Y/N]! We have to beat brother's house!" Anthon would say as your stacking the walls on top of each other to create something other than a house.
"Good luck Anthon! Brother is definitely going to win." Tonia would blow a raspberry at him, which made Anthony's blood boil and usually start getting more candy.
"So you're good at building gingerbread houses too, hm?" You would make small talk with Childe as his siblings went to go get more supplies.
"Can't be the Snezhnaya's greatest toy seller without making killer gingerbread houses." He would joke about his fake occupation.
"Teucer, you can't be eating all the peppermints!" Both Anthon and Tonia said.
You and Childe looked at each other, than laughed as his siblings played with each other.
"Better not be distracted Ajax, or I might just sabotage your gingerbread."
Zhongli
You and Zhongli would often build a gingerbread house together. Seeing that Zhongli was atleast a couple thousand years old, he was experienced in the art. With his patience, skill and talent (and also being able to have a steady hand), Everyone in Wanghsheng Funeral parlour would be in awe. But he would take so long it would bore you out of your mind.
"Zhongli, hurry up! Y'know I want to eat these things as soon as possible!"
"Patience now, dear. Good things come to those who wait." He says while being very concentrated on the design of the walls.
Your stomach would grumble at the smell of freshly baked gingerbread, mixed with the sweet scent of icing and sugar of all kinds. The perfect thing to eat on a cold, snowy evening with a cup of hot chocolate. Alas, Zhongli was set on having his gingerbread house looks like a whole castle.
"Fine, I'll help you so that you can hurry along." You get up with a heavy heart to find him things to use.
You return with bags and bags of things which were probably unnecessary. Nevertheless, you could have a small snack with them if Zhongli didn't need it.
He went over to help you, appreciating that you still assisted him while being grumpy with him. He took all the bags from you, kissing your forehead.
"I'll make you you have the best gingerbread house, dear."
"Aww, look at them, they're adorable!" You hear a certain director's voice.
"Hu Tao!"
Itto
"Hey, hey, not looking too shabby, hm?"
"It looks great boss!"
The gingerbread house was an absolute mess. Walls tore down, candy everywhere, and icing somehow in his hair.
"Oh I can't wait to show this at that competition in the city, definitely gonna win that prize with this masterpiece." He says with such pride and enthusiasm, you almost felt bad for everyone who was to witness it at the competition.
Your sympathic heart couldn't bring yourself to tell him that it was nowhere to even qualify for it for the competition, and Shinobu looked like she had enough of them and just agreed with the rest of the gang.
"It looks amazing love! You're sure to win that prize!"
He definitely wouldn't win.
So while everyone was celebrating Itto's gingerbread house, you went ahead a bought some more supplies and baked fresh new gingerbread to rebuild it. Your poor heart wouldn't be able to take the disappointment on his face, or seeing others laugh at what he was so excited about.
"[Y/N]? What are you doing?"
He found you sticking the walls together, so you quickly came up with a lie on the spot.
"Uh...Well, I accidentally knocked into your gingerbread house and it fell over...I'm sorry if the new one doesn't look as good,"
"Are you kidding me!? Yours looks even better! Haha I guess happy mistakes do happen!" He laughs as he goes to hug you, "Now we have no chance of not winning!"
