Okay, I hate part two's but this one got requested a lot! So this is part two to the chapter:

Raph - Spike

Y/n was getting cornered in an alley when a big tortoise with a hammer with spikes chased her.

The last time she met a reptile, the reptile was nice. He was caring and even told her to separate herself from him. Even though she refused he didn't do anything. The girl was sure that he wasn't the same one she met years ago. Why did she move back to the city for college? Why did she have to do late night shopping?

What happened to the city she once knew?

Slowly Y/n felt like she couldn't breathe and knew that her road ended here. Figuratively and literally. Her life flashed in front of her eyes when he had the swing above his head, ready to hit her down but she didn't feel an impact. Her eyes were closed tight and wondered if it was the adrenaline that didn't allow her to feel pain. Then the girl heard grunts in front of her and she slowly opened her eyes to only catch sight of a turtle fighting the bigger tortoise off.

She felt a tug in her gut when she noticed the red mask he had on. She felt an even stronger tug when she caught his face. Her breath stopped and recognized him. It was a face she could never forget. Although the name was a bit trickier to remember.

"Spike! Stop this!" The red masked turtle yelled out.

"Spike...?" She ghosted the words on her lips, trying to remember why the name was familiar. It took a couple more seconds until she remembered and her eyes went bug-wide in shock. "Spike?" She said a bit louder. "Wait! It's me, Y/n!" Honestly, the h/c coloured girl didn't know what she was doing nor saying. Her pet tortoise looked like a monster. "Do you remember me?!"

The bigger tortoise stopped to look at the girl who looked at him with desperation. The mutation hit him hard and he began having a headache when trying to remember. He gripped his head in pain as her voice echoed in her head. From the present and from the past. When the memory flashed in his mind, he was horrified about what he was about to do to his ex-owner. Raphael was going through a similar revelation and he himself got the old memories of the young girl who gave him Spike. All those years ago.

"Y/n..." he whispered in disbelief and amusement. A small grin made it to his face. In the moment, he wanted to run up to her and hug her for giving him his emotional support animal. Even though Spike was mutated, it didn't take away from the fact that the tortoise was there to listen to everything he said. He felt heard, he felt like he belonged, he felt amazing for taking care of someone for that long. He had some sort of responsibility and he felt wanted. It was just an animal his brothers would think.

But no one knew the healthy effects Spike did to Raphaels mental health. Somedays, Raph thought that he wouldn't be here without him.

Slash strutted past Raphael and sat in front of the young girl. "I missed you," Slash said with a smile. The mutagen first effects were starting to wear off. The anger began to dismiss itself slowly. Everything surely became clear and not red. Violence wasn't the only solution in his mind. Y/n climbed up on his lap as he dropped his weapon. She hugged him to the best of her abilities and when he sniffed her, he recognized her scent. He nuzzled his nose in her hair for comfort. The same one they had years back.

The other turtle stood and watched, spinning his sais before putting them away.

"I'm so sorry I left you, Spike. If I was allowed to bring you with me, I would've," she explained, grabbing his face in her hands. She put their foreheads together in an apology. He accepted it. Because of the mutagen, he was able to remember things more vividly and he remember the yelling in that house and how Y/n tried her best for him to not hear. Her parents didn't want her to get a pet, let alone a tortoise, but it was a gift from her grandfather. Of course, like all children, she was weirded out by it. Her grandfather showed her how cool the pet was and it didn't take long to convince her that it was the best thing ever.

"I'm sorry, too," he apologized for almost killing her. She forgave him as well. He then looked nervous as his complexion deepened. "And uh- it's Slash now. Going with my new look!" He began flexing his muscles and she began to giggle at his antics, poking them, admiring them.

She looked at him in awe. "Honestly, I am curious of how you became like this."

"Uh...that's my fault," Rapheal spoke up with a shameful hand in the air. "He got into the mutagen and yeah."

She didn't know what he was talking about but didn't question it. She trailed her eyes back to the turtle she was sitting on. "Well, I like your new look Slash. I have to go, though."

Slash frowned and looked down. "You're leaving me again?"

She sent him a small smile, "I will still be in the city. We will still see each other for a few more years. Also you," she faced the shorter turtle, "we need to catch up." She gave Slash a small kiss on his forehead. "I love you."

He didn't respond but only nuzzled his nose in her hair again. She figured this was his way of expressing his feelings. After goodbyes she was left with Raph.

Raph's heart was beating really fast but kept it cool under pressure. "The mutagen sometimes makes him act out in anger from time to time. It usually takes him a hot minute to calm him down. But," he chuckled, impressed by her, "you were able to do it in seconds."

She shrugged with one shoulder, a small smirk growing on her face. "What can I say? I've got the magic touch." She slowly walked towards him and poked his shoulder. "See, now you're calm, too."

"I wasn't mad," he mentioned but neither of them bought it.

"Yeah, and I'm a flying bat." She then sighed, looking up briefly at the night sky. The stars painted in the sky in a beautiful manner with the moon bright and shining, full in its entire glory. The red clad looked up with her, not seeing anything special about it. He then grabbed her hand and tugged her towards the stairs that lead to the roof.

Once they got there, she was wonderstruck at the view. She laid down to look up and too a deep breathe. It was slightly polluted but didn't take anything away from the peace she felt. Especially with the turtle from her childhood beside her. It was then that she remembered his name, the name that she wrote in an old diary of hers. That diary was at the bottom of her moving boxes.

"How are you?" He questioned in a soft tone, trying not to break the peace.

"Well. And you?"

"Could be better. But I'm well as well." They both giggled lightly. "I want to thank you. For giving me Spike- er Slash." She faced him, and the glow on her face from the street lights and the moon made her look beautiful.

Her smile went ear to ear. She reached out and put her hand on his cheek in a comforting manner. "I'm glad he helped you. He's a great listener isn't he?."

He faced her as well. "Eh, not so much now but yeah," he added with a bit of humour.

She laughed as she continued to caress his face. "Thank you for taking great care of him. The past few years, I am not sure what happened entirely, but he still loves you. He was never an affectionate turtle."

"Tortoise," he corrected. The same way she corrected him when they first met. They both laughed even harder. It felt like they had fallen back as friends as if nothing had happened. Raph felt this weird pull on his gut. He felt as though he was in this comforted blanket as she came back into his life. "Do you still think I'm cute?"

She nodded with the biggest smile he had ever seen from her. "Of course. The cutest tortoise I've ever seen." She knew what she said was incorrect but said it anyways to amuse him. It worked because he rolled his eyes playfully with a lazy grin smeared on his lips.

"Turtle."

The rest of the night was filled with catchup, laughter and heartwarming feelings all around.
