The next morning the party was back at mike's house so they could go out looking for Will. Tk, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike were standing around the coffee table that was in the basement, eleven was sitting on the couch messing with mike's supper com.
" We'll just tell our parents we have av club after school. That'll give us at least a few hours for Operation Mirkwood." Mike explained.
" you seriously think that the weirdo knows where Will is?" Lucas stated, earning himself a smack in the arm from Tk, For his comment not being nice.
" Just trust me on this, okay?" Mike said.
" Okay," Lucas replied.
"Did you get the supplies?" Mike asked.
" yeah, binoculars from 'nam. Army knife, also from 'nam. Hammer, camouflage bandana, and the wrist rocket." Lucas spoke, pulling out each item after he said it.
" you're gonna take out the Demogorgon with a slingshot," Dustin questioned.
"First of all, it's a wrist rocket." Lucas told him. " and second of all the Demogorgon's not real. It's made up. But if there is something out there, I'm gonna shoot it in the eye, and blind it."
" wait from nam?" Tk questioned confused about what 'Nam' was.
" yeah, you know, Vietnam," Lucas stated.
" oh, ok, that makes sense," Tk said.
" Dustin, what did you get?" Mike asked.
" Well, alrighty. So, we've got nutty bars, bazooka, pez, smarties, Pringles, nilla wafers, apples, bananas, and trail mix." Dustin said, pointing to all the food he had poured out on the table.
" seriously?" Lucas questioned.
" We need energy for our travels. for stamina. And besides, why do we even need weapons anyway? We have her." Dustin argued pointing to eleven who hadn't moved from the couch.
" she shut one door!" Lucas shouted.
" with her mind! Are you kidding me? that's insane! Imagine all the other things she could do." He said walking over to eleven and trying to make her use her powers on command which didn't work.
" Tk what did you bring?" Lucas asked, which got mike and Dustin's attention from where they were fighting, and walked back over to the table.
" thank you Luke, I'm so glad you asked. I brought a first aid kit, compass, water, extra clothes, pocket knife, flashlight, freshly made rice Krispy treats, and my camouflage bandana. Oh, I almost forgot, a gun and corresponding bullets." Tk said pulling out each item and laying it on the table.
Mike and Dustin were in shock that he had a gun. Lucas was too busy smiling like an idiot at the fact that Tk still keeps the bandana. It used to be his but he gave it to Tk because he got a new one. He honestly thought he threw it away.
