Tk and Lucas rush into the school, neither of them really knowing where they are going. Tk heard footsteps down a certain hallway, he grabbed Lucas's hand and ran towards it. When they turned the corner the two of them were met with bright lights and a lamp that almost hit them in the face.
"It's me! It's me!" Lucas said as he was gasping for air while Tk was screaming very loudly.
"Jesus, what's wrong with you, Sinclair?" Steve exclaimed as he put the lamp down. "I could've taken you out with this lamp!"
"Sorry, guys. sorry. I was... I was biking for eight miles. Give me one second. shit" Lucas held up a finger as he was fighting to catch his breath. Tk decided that it was his turn to talk.
"We've got a code red" Tk spoke up from the ground where he was catching his breath.
"Tk?" There was a collective gasp and Flashlights were shone in his direction.
"Hey, guys!" Tk beamed. Dustin was the first to pull him into a hug then the older teens, the last person he hugged was max. Their hug lasted a little longer than the others.
"Are you okay?" Tk whispered in max's ear as they were still hugging.
"I've been better," Max says as they pull away from each other.
"What are you doing here?" Dustin asks.
"I came to watch Lucas play in the big game" Tk looked at max and Dustin. "Douchebag move by the way. Anyway, we've been with Jason, Patrick, and Andy, and they've gone totally off the rails. They're trying to capture Eddie, and they think you know where he is"
"you're in terrible danger," Lucas adds.
"All right. yeah, that definitely sucks, but we've got bigger problems than Jason right now ''Dustin turns to look at max which makes Tk and Lucas. she didn't make eye contact with them, her eyes stayed trained on the ground, making Tk very worried for her.
It was dark out by the time they arrived at the wheeler's house. The party members made pallets on the floor since Steve insisted he has the couch, while Robin and Nancy both slept in Nancy's room.
Tk woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom when he noticed max wasn't in her bed next to him. He was able to slide away from Lucas replacing himself with a pillow, making Lucas none the wiser.
"You should be in bed," Tk said as he leaned against the staircase. He took note of how fast she was to covering what she was writing.
"I could say the same for you" she shot back as she turned to sit sideways in her chair, so she could face him.
"I had to go to the bathroom. You?" Tk told her.
"Couldn't sleep" she replied. Tk nodded he wanted to ask her a question but he didn't know if she would be comfortable with answering it. So instead he went to the bathroom and once he got out he was about to head to bed when he decided to just go for it.
