It had been a couple of months since the whole shadow monster incident. Will was back to being his normal awkward self and as time went on Lucas and max got closer. But that didn't matter because tonight was the snowball. And Tk was gonna ask Lucas to dance with him it would be perfect.
Tk was standing in the bathroom looking at himself in the mirror. His uncle had parted and slicked his hair to the side.
" How you feeling, kiddo" Jim was leaning on the door frame of the bathroom.
" I feeling like an idiot," Tk said bluntly. " I look ridiculous"
" Well, I think you look great," Jim said as he was fixing Tk's tie. Tk wore a simple black and white suit along with his green converse. He and his uncle fought for a while on the shoes until hopper gave in and just let him wear it.
Once hopper was finished with the tie Tk went to check on El who was getting ready for the snowball as well. She was wearing a grey dress with pink polka dots all over it and a pink belt to go with it.
Hopper had gone out and bought her the dress and the belt with Joyce's help. Joyce had also given him some of her makeup for El to use. Tk could see her struggling to put it on.
He offered to help her which she accepted. He had seen Nancy put hers on a few times so it shouldn't be that hard. He didn't put much on just eyeshadow, blush, and lip gloss.
" Okay, what do you think?" Tk asked while having her a small mirror.
" stunning" she whispered to herself, still looking in the mirror.
" yeah, you look stunning," Tk said with a soft smile on his face.
" stunning too" she added.
Tk decided to leave earlier than his uncle and El. Hopper did offer to give him a ride but he wanted to get there earlier so he had enough time to ask him.
Tk said his goodbyes to them, grabbing his bike and leaving for the snowball.

The whole ride there Tk was a ball of nerves, he practiced exactly what he was going to say to Lucas and how he was gonna ask. The only thing left to do is actually go through with it.
Tk was putting his bike in the rack when he saw Max getting out of her car. Even though he was aware of what happened last year between them he didn't take it out on her.
it wasn't her fault Lucas had feelings for her, he just hoped that if there were any feelings for him at all that they were stronger than the ones Lucas had for max.
" you look amazing" Tk complimented, once he got close enough to her.
" Thank you. you look amazing as well, the green converse is a nice touch" max said complimenting him as well.
