Riley's POV

Note to self: Never let Scarlett drive. We ran at least two stop signs, went 5 over the speed limit at least, and then she never had two hands on the steering wheel. Hell, she barely had one hand on the wheel.

You're probably wondering how she is able to drive well me and Wendy are 15 and Scarlett is 16, her birthday is in the fall. I had my hand gripping my seat belt the whole ride and as still thrashed around as she doesn't like stopping or slowing down.

"You should have never been allowed a driver license." I rush out of her car and take several steps away from the death trap she calls a car.

"Who said I had a license?" She tells me with a completely straight face.

"What?"

"I'm just kidding, I of course have my license. I just don't get caught."

"I'm never letting you drive me anywhere."

"Like you can drive." I'm mildly offended at her statement but start walking with them towards the mall entrance.

"Where too first?" Wendy asks us as she looks at the mall directory.

"Target first," Scarlett says and lets us follow her around to the store. "I need a new swimsuit."

Walking over to the women's department we spread out. I'm able to find a cute one-piece that has one shoulder that's ruffled. I don't find any others I like so I go and find the girls. Finding Wendy, first I help her look for a yellow suit that she actually likes.

Scarlett finds us right as we find Wendy's suit and we head over to the grocery section of the store. I grab some skittles and declare that I am done shopping. Checking out I use the debit card that Dad gave me last week. Apparently, we get an allowance for cleaning our rooms. He really is a strange parent.

We all leave and go to a few more stores before we end up at the food court. I get a soft pretzel but no cheese, I find the idea behind it weird.

"How can you stand to eat that dry pretzel?" Wendy asks me as she dips her pretzel into the container of bright yellow liquid.

"How can you eat that jar of chemicals and food dye?"

"Don't food shame me." Her words come out muffled as she talks with her mouth full.

"Then don't shame me." I take a dry bite of my pretzel proving my point.

"Hey, Riley I have to know what's it like being identical?" Scarlett wipes her hands with a napkin.

"It has its moments."

"Care to give us an example."

"Well, when we were in middle school Ruby had this math test she was sure she was gonna fail. So I had to dress as Ruby to go to her class and take her test for her."

"So you're saying that you all used to cheat."

"Yes."

"Did you guys ever use your powers for good?"

"Not really," I reply after a few seconds of thinking. "We used them to mostly wreak havoc on our teachers and classmates. Oh, that's how we would let down boys we didn't want to date."

"God, sometimes I wish I was a twin," Wendy says dreamily while looking off into the distance.

"Yeah, it's fun and all until you go to find your favorite shirt only to find your sister already wearing it." Scarlett and Wendy both giggle but it's a real struggle. I can't tell you how many times this has happened. Ruby was the worst she always stole my clothes.

"Hey, my mom wants me home." Scarlett checks her phone and we all get up throwing away our trash and grabbing our shopping bags. We head back into the death trap.

To prove that I'm not dramatic, the mall is a good 30 minutes with good traffic. Scarlett was there in 20.

"See you tomorrow."

"Bye."
