Chapter 33-Rosella

Levi's POV

Getting up this morning was hard. I usually never go to parties but Jake and Blake forced us to go last night except for Riley who told us to fuck off. 

I get up and fix my hair and button up my shirt. I leave my room and head downstairs. I enter the kitchen and grab a glass of water and a pop tart. 

Everyone else comes down periodically. The girls are the last to come down Riley came down as usual with a small scowl on her face. Rory and Ryan came down looking upset but sat down and ate breakfast. Ruby was the last to come down, she had no makeup on and her eyes were red and bloodshot. 

"Ruby, are you okay?" Jessica asked her and felt her forehead. 

"Yeah, I'm fine." She choked out and sat down not eating anything.

"Ruby are you su-" Jessica was interrupted by Ruby.

"Oh my god just leave me alone. I'm fine." Ruby snapped at her and stormed out of our house and slammed the door of the SUV they take to school. 

"What happened last night?" Dad asked us. 

We all shook our heads. The girls had a different shaking of their heads thinking like they knew but wouldn't tell. We all finish breakfast and head to school. Milo drove us as we listened to the radio. 

The classes were boring, as usual, we sit down at the lunch table. I see the girls come in with Ruby looking sadder than this morning. 

"What's up with Ruby?" Milo asks me rhetorically. 

"You guys haven't heard?" One of our friends asks.

"No."

"Last night at the party, Clara was bragging about sleeping with Bradley. Ruby's boyfriend." 

"Fuck, she must have heard."

"Or she could have found them you know.' My idiot friend Mikey makes a motion with his hands of two fists pumping together. 

"Jackass." Me and Milo both mutter. 

I see the girls leave the cafeteria I look over and Milo and I both stand up and walk over to Jake and Blake. 

"Hey little brothers"

"What." Jakes all but barks at us. 

"Let's go"

"Where?"

"Ruby was cheated on." They both stood up and walked with us as we followed the girls. We were caught up to them as Rory was hugging Ruby, we could hear faint cries. We walk over Ryan sees up first but gets an angry look on her face. I notice her looking behind us so I turn around to see Bradley at the end of the hall. 

Only Bradley looks different. His swollen face has cuts along his cheeks and lips. His face is covered in purple and blue. I bite my lip to hold in my laugh looking at his pained expression. My brothers notice me and turn around two to see him and have to hold in their laughs. 

"What happened to him?" Ryan asks us making everyone's attention on him. Rory and Ruby's eyes go wide seeing him and Riley clenches her fist. Her fist is bruised and has a small cut on her knuckles. 

"Maybe he ran into a door." Riley glares at him but his eyes are on Ruby. He takes a step forward but Riley beats him to it and steps in front of her dropping her bag into her hand ready to drop it to the floor. He freezes seeing her and takes a step back. 

She continues to glare at him as he walks away from us. 

"What happened to him?" Rory asks us. 

"I like the door idea," Jake smirks at Riley who fixes her backpack. 

"Riley, what did you do?" Ruby asks her angrily. 

"What makes you think I did something?" Ruby gave her a deadpan look. "Fine I did it and I don't feel bad."

"Riley."

"You do realize that our family runs a literal mafia that kills people. Trust me, me beating up an asshole who deserved it is nothing to bat an eye at." Riley rolls her eye and points to us when mentioning the mafia. 

"Fine but when did you do it?" Just then the bell rings, and people start flooding the hallways.

"I'll tell you at home." Riley walks off to her class yelling at us behind her back.
