His laugher echoed through your ears. Jeez, you could never get the sound of his laughter out of your head. It was so contagious. When he made a stupid joke, which was an all the time thing, he would also laugh at his own joke. Once Stu started laughing, you couldn't help but join in.

You had always heard people saying a person's laughter was contagious, but you didn't believe that was really a thing, because you had never met a person with such contagious laughter. But that was before Stu, once you met Stu, everything changed. For the better.

You looked over at your loving boyfriend, with your cheeks flushed a shade of red from laughing at his dumb commentary during the horror movie you two were watching. You had never been so in love with another human before, you'd never been so hypnotized by someone. Someone so ordinary too. As much as you loved Stu, there wasn't anything mind-blowing about him.

Well besides maybe one thing...

Stu and Billy weren't exactly the sanest people you had ever met, you would admit that, but only to yourself. You wouldn't dare tell anyone else that. But you loved Stu, every part of him, even his flaws. And Billy and Stu were a package deal. Once you had one, you had to have the other too.

Stu looked right back at you, his eyes gleaming. That cheesy grin still rested on his face, bringing a smile to your lips. He moved closer to you, that stupid smile never leaving his lips. He slowly brought his hand up and brushed some of your hair out of your face, something he tended to do a lot.

It was like he had to have a clear view of your face 24/7. Which little did you know, that was actually the case. Stu felt the exact same way about you as you did about him. The thought of you consumed him and his thoughts. You were his drive, his reason to keep going if you will. And once the whole Sidney thing was sorted, he wanted to take you out of this town and start a normal life with you.

He wanted to give you everything you desired. If you wanted ten kids, well damnit, he was going to give you ten kids. If you didn't want any, none it was. If you wanted a large wedding on the beach while the sun set in the background, you got it. If you didn't want a wedding at all and just wanted to go down to the courthouse and sign the papers, fine. He would arrange it. Anything you asked for, he was bound to make it happen. He had to. He promised himself that he would do anything for you, anything to see you smile.

He could envision his future with you. Waking up next to you, messy hair, raspy voice, you in his arms. It was the best thing he could ask for. It was all he wanted.

You pausing the movie broke him out of his thoughts. He realized that he had been staring at you for a few minutes, not saying a word, his hand still resting on your cheek, just in a trance. He cleared his throat before pulling you in for a kiss.

You adored his kisses, you could feel the love radiating off of him when the two of you were that close and intimate.

Stu pulling back away from you, broke you out of your train of thought. He fiddled with a strand of your hair for a minute before lowering his hand and backing away from you, resuming his original position on the couch.

"Y/n..."

His voice was soft, caring. You could tell in his tone of voice he wasn't happy though. It didn't sound like he normally does. There was something cold about his tone.

"You need to let me go."

What?

How could he want that all of the sudden? You two had been together for over a year, and you thought he loved you as much as you did him. Where was this coming from? Your mouth slightly parted in shock as you looked at him, wide e/c eyes just staring intently.

"Its been months, Y/n. Please, move on." He spoke again. Tears started to form as you looked away from him, shaking your head. You quickly stood up and began pacing around the room in front of him.

"Stu, stop." You sternly spoke. You were still pacing the floor, unable to even look at him.

"Y/N! I'm dead!" He suddenly yelled out, standing up from the sofa. You gasped and stepped back from him, sobs escaping your mouth. "Please, stop doing this to yourself." He softly spoke again.

It all came back to you.

Sidney killed Stu months ago in his own home. In one of the worst ways imaginable to top it all off. You weren't even there. You were at home sick that night.

You were woken up to a phone call in the middle of the night telling you your boyfriend was dead and that you needed to come into the station for questioning.

You looked up from the floor, ready to face Stu again after processing that information, but

He was gone.
