You were wrapped up in a tight hug by your friend as you bid your goodbyes.

"I'll see you some other time, yeah?" You smiled as you wrapped your own arms around hers.

"Of course." She gave you a bright smile as she let go of you, you doing the same. "Text me whenever you get home, okay?"

F/n (friends name) wasn't exactly very fond of the idea of you walking home in the dark all alone. If you were being honest, the thought frightened you as well. Walking a couple blocks at nighttime on a Friday night in this town wasn't very safe.

It wasn't a secret. In fact, every time you went out somewhere you could hear someone talking about it with a friend or family member. There was a murderer on the loose in Woodsboro. Everybody was on edge at the thought of them or one of their loved ones being next.

He or well she, had already gotten a couple of unfortunate teenagers. Who knew who was going to be next?

Casey Becker was a girl that you considered to be one of your good friends. Once you heard what had happened to her and Steve, you were devastated and shocked would have been an understatement.

You had told you friend, who was giving you a worried look, goodbye and left her house. You stepped down the steps and began your walk back home.

You stayed on the pavement and were completely aware of your surroundings. Every little noise caught your attention. To say you were being paranoid was most likely an understatement.

You continued the walk, feeling comforted by the street lights that you weren't in the complete dark.

A couple minutes later, you were getting close to your house. Against your better judgement, you cut through an alleyway to shorten your walk.

As you walked down the creepy alleyway, a group of men that looked if they were in their late forties appeared in front and behind you.

You froze on spot as they cornered you. There were five of them, there is nothing that you can do in this situation. You had nothing with you, leaving you completely defenseless.

"Hey, good looking. What's a young thing like you doing out on a night like this?" One of them asked as he ran his hand along your cheek.

You were too frightened to even speak as they came even closer, completely breaking your personal space bubble. You could feel each of their hands on your body, making you shiver in disgust.

Suddenly, one of them began to let out strange noises, making all of you turn your attention towards him to see his throat cut open and blood now covering his clothes.

Before any of you could react, it happened again to another one of the men. You took this opportunity to kick one of them where the sun don't shine making him kneel over in pain.

You brought your fist back before punching the man square in the jaw. He hit the ground before a knife was plunged into his stomach.

The masked person who did all of this, slowly stood up and looked at you, but all you could focus on was the knife that was shining in the moonlight with blood all over it.

You gasped once you realized what had happened. Sure, these men probably deserved it, but they were still people and that was still murder.

The person held up a little box to the mask of their mouth before speaking. "Where do you live? Let's get you home." The box must have been a voice changer or something because the persons voice didn't sound right.

You shakily pointed a finger at your house, that was just in sight. The mysterious masked person nodded and began to walk towards there. You followed slowly, turning your head away from the dead bodies.

Once you two arrived at your doorstep, you eyed them. "Are you who's been doing all this killing?" You quietly asked. The person nodded. "Why did you save me?" You now questioned.

"I couldn't let that happen to you. You probably don't deserve that." The person spoke. They forgot to use their voice changer and something sounded familiar to you about their voice. "Anyways, goodnight." The mystery person spoke before turning and disappearing into the night.

You let out a sigh and you entered your house and locked the door behind you, the masked person still on your mind.
