Jedidiah sat right on the floor next to the still unconscious girl and impatiently waited for her to wake up. She had been out for hours. He began to wonder if she was even alive. Whatever that man gave her or did to her, it really got to her.He slowly moved his hand and placed it her her heart. He could feel that she was indeed breathing so he moved his hand and continued waiting.

Eventually the girl began to slightly wiggle around making Jedidiah's head perk up and watch her. Her heard her let out a groan as she attempted to move her hands and rub her head, but realized she was still tied down.
Jedidiah wanted to untie her, but his mother said that wasn't a good idea and that she could run away so he kept her restricted with the rope. However, he did remove the duct tape.
The girls eyes widened once she realized she was still restrained. She began to thrash around even more before Jedidiah put his hand on her shoulder making her slowly look over at him. A look of horror flashed across her face as she tried to wiggle away from him.
"I-I don't want to h-hurt you." Bubba tried to speak. The girl slightly calmed down, but wasn't completely calm due to the man wearing someone's face on his own. "I help you." He told her.
"I-i don't understand." The girl stuttered as she eyed him with tears in her eyes. She just wanted to go home to her family. To her friends.
Jedidiah wanted to explain to her everything, but he had a limit on how much he could speak. It hurt him and he wasn't sure what to do.
Fortunately for him, his mother walked into the room with a glass of water. She sat it on the table next to the girl, who watched her with curiosity.
"My son tells me he found you in the back of a mans truck all beaten up." Verna began. The girl nodded. "We're going to help you get back onto your feet."
"O-ok." She barely managed to get out. She wasn't sure what to say to these people. They seemed off. Like they were dangerous themselves.
"What's your name, dear?" Verna spoke as she began to untie the rope around the girls wrists. Once the rope was off of her hands, she rubbed her sore wrists with a frown on her face.
She looked up to meet the older woman's gaze. "It's Y/n." She told her.
Verna gave the girl a warm, comforting smile as she watched her pick up the glass of water and take a long swig of it. The water instantly made her feel a lot better. "Well I'm Verna, this is Jedidiah, but we call him Jed. And you'll meet the other boys later." She told the girl, who nodded, continuing to drink the water. It seemed as if she was dehydrated.
Verna walked out of the room to give the two some privacy. The girl looked at Jedidiah and observed the human skin he was wearing as a mask.
A sudden pain hit the girl. At that moment, she could feel her whole body aching. She grimaced and took a deep breath before letting it out.
Without any words, he stood up and held out his hand. The girl grabbed it and let him lead her somewhere. He took her up a set of stairs and into a room. He motioned around the room.
"Is this mine?" Y/n asked as she glanced around the room. It wasn't much. A small bed over in the corner of it, a small desk without a chair over in a different corner, and lots of dust and random junk.
She looked towards her left and saw the man nod, so she spoke up. "Okay, Thank you." She gave him a appreciative smile.
Verna appeared behind the two of you, letting out a small cough. The both of you turned to look at her. "How about we get you cleaned up dear?" She asked you with a soft smile on her face.
You nodded and let the woman guide you into a different room which was also dirty, but it would be okay.
Y/n let out a small groan as she bent over to turn on the water. Verna turned to her and glanced at her shirt. "May I?" She asked. Y/n nodded.
Verna took off the girls shirt to reveal multiple bruises and cuts. That explained why her body had been hurting so much. Verna shook her head in pity at the poor girl.
"Will you be able to clean yourself up? I can help if you need."
Sure, the girl didn't know these people very well and there was something odd about each of them, but a part of her said that she could trust them and they were going to be her new family. So she nodded and let Verna help her.
Once the girl was in the bathtub, Verna grabbed an old looking rag and put some soap on it before beginning to wash the girls back, cleaning all of the dirt and dried up blood off.
"You know, I've never had a girl." Verna softly spoke as she let herself smile. Y/n nodded slowly. "I think you'll make a great addition to this family."
(A/N: I've been working on this one part for forever. I'm still not in the best place mentally. I was. But not anymore. Any cures for a broken heart? I have so much to say, but I dunno who to say anything to. I feel like such a bother. Anyways, should I do a part 3? As always, stay beautiful❤️)
