As per usual, you and your husband, the one and only, Nubbins Sawyer, were working at the gas station together.
You were handling the customers at the register all day while Nubbins was doing a little bit of everything. He walked around the aisles, outside, and just about anywhere else nearby.
A group of teenagers walked in causing you to turn your attention towards them, eyeing each and every one of them down as they walked around the gas station.
You counted five of them. Two boys and three girls. You looked at each of them for a bit, already getting certain vibes from most of them.
The first boy gave you leader vibes. He seemed like he drove whatever vehicle they were in and made most of the decisions. His appearance also helped your theory of him being the leader. Tall, muscular, and every other quality a leader would have.
The thought of their vehicle caused you to glance out of the shop window and see a nice looking truck sitting outside. They probably had lots of money.
The other boy seemed to look a bit like the leader one. Different hair cut and body shape. This boy was less muscular and more quiet. You guessed they were brothers by their similar features.
As for the three girls, they each wore revealing clothes, but to be honest, you couldn't blame them. After all, this was the middle of summer in Texas.
After eyeing two of the girls down, you watched the last one. Something about this slightly tall, brown haired, hazel eyed, girl just screamed trouble. She had that gaze that only meant mischief so you kept your eyes locked on her as they walked throughout the store.
"What'd you thinking?" Your husbands voice was heard beside you, snapping you out of the little trance you were in while staring at the girl.
You whispered to him everything you thought about each of the teenagers. He would nod and hum every now and then to show he was listening as he now watched them walk around the store.
Soon, the five teenagers walked up to the register with lighters and drinks in their hands before placing them on the counter in front of you. As you dealt with their items, you every now and then looked up at the teenagers and saw the girl you had been watching with her eyes on your husband.
You watched as she bit her lip, trying to make herself seem more attractive. You were about to be the one to tell her that the little lip bite, wasn't going to help her case, but you bit your tongue and stayed silent, your eyes still on her.
"Hi, I'm R/g/n (Random girl's name). And you are?" She held out her hand for him to shake with a flirtatious smile on her face. As you held one of the drinks, your grip on it began to tighten due to yourself slowly losing your cool. You hated that look she was giving him.
You were forced to ignore their conversation whenever the leader guy started speaking to you. "Hey, we're kind of lost here. I don't suppose you know how to get to..." He spoke. But you drowned him out as you listened to your husband and the girls conversation.
"So, what its like here in Texas?" You heard her ask, but before you could hear Nubbin's answer, the guy in front of you spoke again.
"So, do you know?" He questioned you causing you to look up and tune out of the other conversation again.
"Oh, yeah." You nodded and began to purposely give him the wrong directions. You were sending them straight to their own deaths. But that didn't bother you, they didn't seem like good people. And even if they were, your people came first.
Once you handed the man his change back, you pulled Nubbins into another room away from that troublesome girl, ending their conversation whether they liked it or not, and simply hugged him. Of course he hugged back, but he seemed stiff.
"What's this all about?" He questioned, letting his chin rest on your head. You slightly shook your head, letting him know it was nothing.
This continued like this for the whole day. You were touchy and protective over Nubbins every single time another female walked through the door. He noticed, but decided not to say anything about it or question you. After all, he was enjoying all of the extra attention.
Later on at night whenever you two were getting ready for bed, he turned to you as you slipped on your f/c nightgown. "Why so touchy today?" He finally questioned your actions. You shook your head just like you had done earlier in the day and he also shook his head. "Talk to me, Y/n."
"I was jealous." You mumbled low enough to where he couldn't hear it. He asked what you said so you said it again, still not clear enough though and this continued for about five more minutes until you finally had enough and spoke clearly. "I was jealous, Nubbins."
You looked up, expecting to see a look of surprise on his face, but he just had a smile. You raised your eyebrows at his expression. "I know. I just wanted to hear you say it." He chuckled before climbing into your shared bed and pulling the blanket over him.
You rolled your eyes before laying next to him and letting him wrap his arms around you. You sighed, shaking your head at him before closing your eyes.
"I love you." You heard him mumble to you in the darkness. A smile formed on your face at those simple three words before you spoke up.
"I love you too."
(A/N: Imma be honest, I dunno much about Nubbins so I completely winged this. Hope it still turned out okay. Should I start a book for Dead By Daylight Characters? Would any of you read it? As per usual, stay beautiful💛)
