The school day was long and painful. That was the last place you wanted to be. And overall, it just put you in a worse mood then you were already in.

Once you got home, you threw your bag onto the floor and stepped out of your shoes, leaving them by the front door. You went into the kitchen to get something to drink, but you were met with a note from your parents on the counter.

'(Y/n), we went out with a couple of old friends. Wont be back until late tonight. Don't wait up for us and call if you need anything.'

You sighed as you scrunched up the note and threw it into the trashcan. You saw no need to keep it. You walked over to the fridge and examined everything inside before deciding some lemonade sounded good.

You got out a glass and poured the lemonade into the cup before putting the jug on lemonade back into the fridge. You picked up the glass and made your way into the living room and sat down on the couch.

You sighed whenever you sat down. Before you knew it, you thoughts began to get the best of you. You began to feel unloved and undeserving of love.

Your parents were never around. It seemed like they used any excuse they could to not be home and around you. And your boyfriend, or well now ex-boyfriend, cheated on you, leaving you completely heartbroken and alone.

You didn't have very many friends to turn to in this time of need. There was a boy named Billy and his bestfriend Stu who you talked to more than most people, but you felt like they wouldn't care.

So you suffered in silence.

Your house phone rang so you slowly stood up and made your way over to the small wooden table that the phone rested on. You picked up the phone and held it to your ear.

"Hello?" You spoke through the phone.

"Hey (Y/n). Its Billy." You heard his voice.

"Oh hey, what's up?" You asked, feeling a bit better. You instantly felt better whenever you spoke to him, not feeling so lonely.

"Not much. I just noticed you looked kind of down in school today." You heard him mutter.

"Its just been a rough couple of days." You shrugged as you spoke. You weren't sure if you wanted to tell him everything that you went through.

"How about I come over to your place and we watch a movie?" He asked. You bit your lip as you thought about it. You wouldn't lie, that did sound like fun. You nodded before realizing he couldn't see you.

"That actually sounds really nice, Billy. What movie are you thinking?" You asked.

"A horror movie sounds good. Do you like scary movies?" He asked you through the phone. You grinned in excitement, you loved horror movies.

"Of course!" You cheered as you tugged the sleeve of you sweater down to cover the palm of your hand. "Which one?"

"Hmm..." Billy trailed off as he thought about which movie he wanted to watch. "How about Friday The 13th?" He asked.

"That sounds great." You agreed. "I guess I'll see you in a bit then?" You asked as you looked around the house, making sure it was clean enough for you to invite guests over. It was.

"Yeah." Billy spoke up, agreeing. "I'll see you soon, Y/n." He hung up the phone. You placed the phone down and smiled.

This was good for you. Nothing to help you get over your heartbreak and loneliness like watching a movie with a friend. Maybe you would talk to Billy and see what he thought about your situation.

Billy was at your house, knocking on your front door with movies in his hand, in two short hours. You quickly ran to the door and opened it to reveal him standing there with messy hair.

You stared in awe at the sight for a couple of seconds before snapping yourself out of you trance. What are you doing, Y/n? You just got out of a relationship. You scolded yourself, slightly shaking your head.

"Hi, Billy." You greeted with a sweet smile on your face. For some reason, you were actually quite surprised to see him, even though you knew he was coming. Maybe deep down, some part of you assumed he was going to stand you up.

"Hey Y/n." He returned your smile. You stepped to the side, letting him inside the house. He stepped inside the house and his eyes glanced around at everything. He had only been to your house once and that was to study.

"I'll start the popcorn." You spoke as you began walking into the kitchen.

"I'll get the movie ready." He smiled as he walked into the living room and towards the tv.

A couple minutes later, everything was set up and you two were ready to just relax and watch the movie. You sat next to him on the couch with the bowl of popcorn in your hands.

"Hey, before we start the movie, do you want to talk about what's bothering you?" Billy asked as he held the tv remote in his hand, his finger lingering over the play button.

"Only if you want to listen." You shrugged. "I'm not going to force you to listen to all of the things wrong in my life."

"Of course I'll listen." Billy spoke as he placed a comforting hand on your shoulder.

And so you began to tell him everything. You told him about being cheated on and about how your parents seemed like they wanted nothing to do with you. And he listened. He listened, every now and then nodding or shaking his head.

Once you were finished ranting and letting your emotions out, you two sat in silence for a couple of seconds. He wasn't sure how to respond to everything you told him. It was a lot for him to take in.

But after searching for the right words for a couple of seconds, he spoke up. "Anyone that doesn't want someone as bright, caring, funny and special like you in their life, is an idiot." He began. "And I mean those words."

You weren't sure what to say so you slowly nodded and looked away, feeling the tears begin to form in your eyes. You weren't about to let Billy Loomis see you cry. There was no way.

"And trust me, that guy, definitely didn't deserve someone as amazing as you. He's a prick." Billy gave you a comforting smile.

"You really think so?" You now turned to look at him, not caring if he saw you getting teary eyed.

"Of course." He smiled at you. His arm slowly reached out and brushed the strand of h/c hair that was in your eyes. He tucked the piece of hair behind your ear and awkwardly coughed before pulling away. He didn't want to make a move on you just yet because as you just told him, you just got out of a relationship. "Lets watch this movie, yeah?"

"Yeah..."
