Remus paced in the dormitories, his heart hammering in his chest. Someone, who didn't even know him, found out a secret he didn't even know himself. "Honestly mate, sit down. I can't focus on you moving about. Your energy is everywhere." Peter huffed out, flopping back on his bed. He tore open a chocolate frog, catching it before it hopped to the ground.
"Your energy is everywhere. Seriously Pete, what does that even mean? Stop talking out of your arse." Sirius shoved his hand into his pocket, pulling out a pack of cigs. "Want one Moony?" Remus took a cigarette, lighting it with his wand. Carefully pulling the toxic air into his lungs.
"Thanks." He blew out, his nerves calming almost immediately.
"Open the window, Pete, so mummy doesn't get mad."

"Wow, I didn't know that I would be invited in here!" Renee exclaimed.
"Well miss, consider this your lucky day." Matthew sat on the couch in front of the fire. The Ravenclaw common room was beautiful; the royal blue, bookshelves, and soft cushions. Renee was in awe.
"Why am I here Matthew?" She asked, positioning herself to face him on the couch. Her arms gripping a pillow to her chest.
"I had an idea, after our study session."
"You mean after we studied for all of twenty minutes and then we danced and got yelled at by my brother?" Matthew nodded enthusiastically. Ren rolled her eyes, letting him explain.
"Yeah exactly. I thought that maybe, you and I..." Renee's cheeks tinted. You and I. Matthew and Renee. Did she want that? He was super nice and smart. Not to mention how gorgeous he is. But maybe she was overthinking it. "Since I don't like being in the library and you don't either. I've already talked to Professor Flitwick." She was overthinking it. Ren lightly shook her head, feeling a bit disappointed.
"Sorry, what are you talking about?"
"Oh, I was asking if you wanted to start studying here?"
"Oh! That sounds like fun! I'd love to!" The pillow was discarded to the couch and she lifted her legs, sitting cross-legged.
"Awesome. We can start tomorrow." "Okay, why didn't you just ask me before we got up here? I could've brought my books with me." Matthew looked at her as if it was obvious. He gripped Renny's shoulder, leaning closer. The girl flustered, moving the same amount backward, not taking her eyes off of him.
"I figured I'd get you used to the scenery. I know when I'm somewhere new I cannot focus for the life of me."
"Oh, thanks." Matthew scoffed, grabbing her hand with his other hand.
"We're quite alike Renee."
"How is that? Just the nervousness of crowds." His eyebrow quivered upwards, a smirk settling on his features. "Your head grew a couple sizes just then."
"Well, I'm good-looking, so are you." He admitted. She laughed as he toyed with her fingers.
"So, I've now ditched my assigned tutor. You better be able to help me get my grades up, Wilson." Her breath caught thinking about all of the time they'd be spending together.
"Well, I may not have a study group of fifty thousand people, but I am very smart." Renee dropped his hand, giving it a single pat before standing up.
"Alright, I've got to go. Got some bonding planned with my dorm mates."
"Renee, we've known each other for a couple of weeks. You don't need to call your smoking sessions that!" He called to her as she disappeared from the Ravenclaw common room.

Remus had his whole attention on them. The way his hand was against the small of her back. His encouraging nods, little tidbits. Remus didn't focus on what they were saying. Not until she mentioned the word 'date'. That's what they've been doing for the last week. Studying together as a ruse to be alone. Remus knew something was up, Ren was missing a lot of their studying. The last time she was there, Wilson joined her and kept her distracted.
He was too tired to worry about this, having been a monster all night. "Moons, quit glaring daggers," James mumbled, lightly elbowing the boy. He looked down, noticing the grip Remus had on the table. He quickly dropped his hands to his lap, forgetting all about the food in front of him.
"She's been doing pretty well on our study dates," Matthew stated, his hand rubbing circles on Renee's back. She looked up at him, keeping eye contact for too long. At least that's Remus' opinion.
"That would be an exaggeration." She interjected, they laughed along with Dorcas who looked at her best friend dumbstruck. Remus just scowled. They looked like they were made for each other. He couldn't help but be jealous. Matthew heard one of his friends calling him and he quickly left the Hufflepuff table. Dorcas continued to stare at Renee as she whispered excitedly to her. Remus couldn't hear them anymore.
"I can't believe you and Matthew have been spending all this time together. I just figured you've been in the library."
"I haven't been there for a while. Since he decided we should study in his common room. I don't hang out with any Ravenclaws so we're pretty much unbothered." Dorcas gasped, holding her chest tightly.
"But what about Remus? Isn't he like your assigned teacher?" Renee shrugged, glancing at the boy sitting at the Gryffindor table. "Whatever, we need to focus on Sirius Black's birthday." Dorcas' focus left the girl next to her, watching the mentioned boy.
"I haven't heard anything about that. I don't even know if they have anything planned." Renee looked back over her shoulder, this time finding her brother and his best friend. Her eyes meeting her twins, he winked and nodded his head to Lily Evans. Before leaning over Remus to talk to her. Renee couldn't hear what he said but Lily did not react well to it. Giving a glare to James. "Maybe I'll have a chat with Jamie later."
"They should be doing something, it's his sixteenth birthday!"
"What's so special about sixteen? Seventeen is when you're an adult and able to practice magic outside of school." Dorcas shrugged, giving some thought to her explanation.
"I guess it's just a muggle thing. But sixteen is like a rite of passage. They call it Sweet Sixteen." Renee scrunched her face up.
"Weird, well I'll ask Jamie or Lupin later. After I'm done studying with Matthew."
"Right, you do that. I'll go hang out with Marlene." Ren gave her friend a wink and met Wilson's eyes. He smiled and continued talking to his housemates.
"Okay, have fun. But not too much fun."
