Branches snapped under Chris' feet as he jogged through the forest behind his house, the early morning sunrays starting to shine through the trees. It was slightly chilly as the early morning wind blew Chris' hair out of his face that was already being held back by his headphones that were connected to Walk-Man, blasting Everybody Wants to Rule the World in his ears.

7 a.m. was early for a teenager to be awake, especially when said teenager was on spring break, but after the gut-wrenching nightmare Chris had that night he couldn't sleep anymore because every time he closed his eyes he would see Chrissy. And he prayed that it was just that, a dream.

Chris was about to turn back around when he heard something coming from the main road. A police siren. He quickly removed his headphones to try and listen to the sound and quickly figured out it was coming toward him. Multiple police cars zoomed past Chris as he watched them rush off to a crime scene, and the brunette just had a gut feeling he had to go after them.

Running fast was never a problem for Chris, but whatever had these policemen tiring out Chris had to be something big, and Chris followed them all the way to the trailer park where he finally slowed down his speed to a jog until he stood at the top of a small hill, overlooking the crowd of policemen, ambulances and bystanders around one certain trailer.

Something was wrong, very wrong, and Chris was scared that his dream wasn't just that. He started jogging again to look inside the trailer and he ended up standing next to a familiar redhead.

"What's going on?" Chris asked Max as he tried to see inside.

"I have no idea," Max replied as she copied Chris' actions, but when the two saw a dead body wearing a Hawkins High cheerleader outfit they got the confirmation they searched for.

"Shit," Chris cursed to himself as Max quickly patted down his hair right before a police officer stood behind them.

"Hey! You can't be out here. Get back inside. Back inside." He ordered the two and they quickly rushed back to Max's trailer.

"Did you—" Max started and Chris nodded before she could finish.

"Get Dustin and Lucas and meet me at Family Video asap. Got it?" He asked Max who nodded. "Something's going on. Something bad."

"There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do I'll be right behind you
" Tears for Fears sang as Chris blocked out every single thought in his head and leaned his head against the counter from Family Video as he sat on the ground.

"Hey, brother of Dingus!" Robin yelled as she hit Chris over the head with a videotape. "If you're just gonna sit there and do nothing can you at least put this film on?" She asked as Chris took the tape.

"Hey, lay off him, okay," Steve warned her, knowing what Chris saw during his run as he turned on the TV, but they didn't get their wanted film. They got the news.

"We're in Forest Hills trailer park in east Roane County. We don't have a lot of details now, but we can confirm that the body of a Hawkins High student was discovered early this morning. Police have not yet released the name..."

"Holy shit," Steve whispered as Chris' hair floated straight up.

"... although we are told they're currently in the process of notifying the family."

"Don't tell me—" Steve said as he patted down his little brother's hair while looking at him.

"Yeah, the body I saw... and it was the same person as the one in my dream." Chris sighed as his hair just flew back up. He quickly put his headphones back on and pressed play on his Walkman.
