Percy
I was having so much fun with the guys. Although I did need some advice for them and now was a great chance with no girls around.
"Hey guys I need to ask you something," I ask knowing there was no turning back.
"Yeah what's up?" Jason asked.
"Okay, lets say I like this girl. I don't know if she likes me and I'm afraid I'll ask her out and rejects me," I say.
"In this situation there 2 ways you could get rejected," Frank starts.
"Number 1 the situation you're afraid of. Rejection. You ask her out and rejects you thinking your better off as friends," Leo states.
"Number 2 you don't ask her out at all and she moves on and finds someone else, meaning you are too late to ask her out," Jason finishes. I'm surprised they know all this stuff but then again they all do have girlfriends- well in Nico's and Will's situation-boyfriends.
"And how do I end up in neither of those situations?" I ask.
"You go up to her ask Annabeth out and if she rejects you, suck it up," Nico says.
"Must you always be negative?" Will said.
"Yes."
"Anyways, just ask Annabeth out. Would you rather say 'At least I tried' or 'I wish I tried'" Frank said. I take that into consideration. They were right.
"How do you know it's Annabeth?" I ask.
"Who doesn't?" Leo asked.
"Well maybe Annabeth," Jason said.
"But don't you think that it would be a bit early? I mean we've only known each other for like a week. I'll just look needy," I said.
"Dude do what you want to do. No one's stopping you," Leo said.
"Your right. I'll just forget about this whole thing and have a good time," I say.
" Good," Frank said and patted my shoulder. Jason turned up the volume on the radio and we started singing along taking turns. We were at the beach in no time and we were there before the girls. We decided to set up the volleyball equipment and lay out the towels and umbrella. The girls finally arrived and we decided to start playing.
Teams:
Annabeth, Will, Thalia, Leo, Piper, Frank
Me, Nico, Reyna, Calypso, Hazel, Jason
Nico served first and it went out. Everybody couldn't help but laugh at it. So then they served first and that's how the games continued. The score was now 3-3. I was serving next and when I served it went out of bounds.
"Hah! We win!" Annabeth bragged.
"How about we re-do that?" I ask.
"Nope!" Piper said.
" Okay fine if you don't want to do a re-do why don't we go one on one?" I challenge. "Piper first then Annabeth."
"Okay," Annabeth said and went to her towel and opened up a book.
Me and Piper played. I ended up winning obviously. Then me and Annabeth played. We were both having fun until I spiked a little too hard, the ball hitting her face. She covered her nose and sank to the sand still covering her face. I quickly went over to her.
"Oh my gods Annabeth. I'm so sorry!" I apologize. I gently take her hand off her nose and it was bleeding crazy. "It's fine," she said. I felt so bad for what I did. "Hey guys! A little help over here!" Thankfully Hazel always carried a first aid kit with her. I always that it was needless but now I'm glad she had it with her. Hazel came running and sat next to Annabeth on her other side and got a couple napkins.
"Here take these napkins and pinch you nose. It should stop the bleeding. And if you need anything else just tell me," Hazel instructed.
"Thanks Hazel," Annabeth said taking the napkin and doing as she instructed. Then Piper came running over.
"Annabeth! Are you okay what happened?" she asked her tone filled with worry.
" I accidentally spiked the ball to hard and it hit her face," I explained.
I helped Annabeth get up.
"Are you sure your okay?" I ask.
"I'm fine seaweed brain. You don't have to have to apologize," she said.
"I feel really bad," I said.
"I told I'm fine, go in the water. I'll join you in a minute," she said picking up her book. Instead I sat down in the sand and started making a sand castle using a bucket.
"Aren't you too old to be doing that?" she asked. I gasp dramatically putting a hand over my heart.
"You can never be too old to play with sand," I say. I continue playing. 15 minutes later I had made a successful sand castle and Annabeth was looking better.
"That's pretty good," she complimented.
" I know," I say and get up and wipe off the sand off my hands. I take off my shirt and offer a hand to her. " Would you care to join me m'lady?"
She giggles and takes my hand. " Oh thank you kind sir." She lets go of my hand and takes off her tank top and shorts revealing a gray bikini.
"Lets go," she said running off and I chased after her, joining our friends in the water. When it started getting dark we decided enough was enough and started drying off.
"Oh my gods! My castle is gone!" I say.
"You are such a baby," Annabeth said.
"Hey, don't judge me! I worked hard to make it," I say in my defense. She just laughs and shakes her head. Then we packed up and headed home.
