1 month later (July 12th) (Setting: At Annabeth's house)

Percy

I had just taken off my cast a couple days ago. And it felt good to take it off. And today was Annabeth's birthday and me and the gang had planned a surprise party at the beach.

"Hey seaweed brain." she pecked my lips.

"Hey wise girl." 

"You know what day it is?" she asked wiggling her eyebrows. I know she meant her birthday but I had to pretend not to know.

"Tuesday?" her smile dropped.

"Seaweed brain it's my birthday. You really didn't remember?" she asked.

"No I'm sorry. But I'll make it up to you, how about we go to the beach?" I suggest.

"Sure." she didn't seem excited but still went upstairs and changed. I took out my phone and texted Jason.

me: shes changing r u all set?

Jason: yup!

me: cool. cya later.

She came back in a ponytail, shorts and a white t-shirt. 

"Where's your swimsuit? Aren't you going to swim?" she asked. I was already wearing my swimsuit. I'm surprised she didn't notice. I shook my head.

"Nah. You ready?" she nods and we go to my car. There was a silence and it was a bit awkward. We got there and started walking.

"Looks like somebody having a birthday party." she said. As we walked closer the banner that said 'Happy Birthday Annabeth!' became visible and she gasped. We walked even closer and found our friends yelled "Surprise!" 

Our friends, Annabeth's family, and even my family was present. 

"Happy birthday Annabeth!" Matthew and Bobby came over and hugged Annabeth. 

"Thanks guys." she hugged them back and they pulled away. 

"Seaweed brain you did all this?" she asked.

"I had a little help." 

"Hey lovebirds are you done or are we going to party!" Thalia said and everyone cheered. We played games, ate pizza, and played a bit of volleyball. Everyone was in was in the water except me and Annabeth.

"I actually thought you forgot my birthday." Annabeth said. 

"You really think I would forget my girlfriend's birthday?" I say.

"You're well....you." she turned towards me so now we're face to face. I roll my eyes. And I lightly brush my lips on hers.

"Dam you guys are always kissing. The love birds need to cool off." Thalia said coming towards us. Everyone else heard her and agreed. They guys lifted me on their shoulders and the girls lifted Annabeth on their shoulders. Annabeth was laughing and I couldn't help laughing as well. I had the last laugh before we got dumped into the water. 

And it was pretty much the best underwater kiss of all time.
