The ground felt hotter than usual under Abigail's naked feet.

Glancing to her left and right, she lifted herself with both her palms facing the ground and managed to stand up.

Dusting her hands on her dress, she scanned her surroundings: Looking up black bats were flying over the deep dark sky. Robbing both hands on her arms as the hot breeze blew from the west, turning over to where the hot breeze came from, — it was black water.

"Where am I? Why is everywhere so hot and dark? "

She began to walk toward the west hoping to find a place to hide. With the smell in the atmosphere, "It going to rain."

She kept walking till she saw a blink of light from afar. She walked as fast as she could towards the light.

The closer she gets, the brighter and bigger the light appears. That was when she realized, it was a house.

She stopped without turning around when she heard footsteps coming behind her.

"Halt!." It was a man's voice.

She closed her eyes to hear his heartbeat, then smiled. She opened her eyes slowly as she turned around, tilted her head, she scanned the man in a black overall coat, holding a lantern, from his head to his shoes then back to his head, and walked towards him slowly then stopped.

"Who are you," he said sharply as he held his lantern up, " where are you coming from, and where are you going in this dead of night? "

"Where is this place sire?" She said, almost like a whisper.

"Sire??? Where are you from?" he said like a joke, but she did not find it funny.

"You did not answer my question sire," She said lightly as she took a few steps towards the man. "Where is this place?" She ask again looking lost and wondering.

"Young lady, am the one holding the gun..." He tapped the gun that was shoved into his left side.
"I asked the question and you answer."

Raising the lantern to her face, the man asked again. "Who are you and what is your business here?" Abigail began moving closer to him.

"Stop right there!" He moved back and brought out his gun immediately. "Stop I say, I will shoot!" pointed the gun at her.

Without stopping, Abigail waved her hand and the gun broke into pieces.

Fear mixed with trembling as he opened his hand and the pieces dropped to the ground, slowly he raised his head. His breath sized as he saw Abigail standing in front of him, so close that he could feel her breath.

"Now sire," she whispered, "Will you kindly tell me; where I land?" She asked slowly.

"Thi...." Blinking his eyes in fear, he swallowed hard his saliva. "This is Salam ma'am."
