a bright light shined through the windows causing everyone to jump to their feet. jonathan led the three teens outside where there was black cars. a lady stepped out of one.

"i'm sorry. i'm having trouble understanding any of this. i mean, what exactly is going on in hawkins? what's doing these killings?" jonathan questioned, full of anger.

"that's what we're trying to ascertain."

"where is el, like, right now?" maddy asked.

"for her safety, it's best you don't know." the lady answered.

maddy scoffed, "this is insane. you're insane. that's basically kidnap." she retorted, mike storming off the couch.

"so this training to get el's powers back, how long is it gonna take?"

"could take weeks, could take months."

"months?" maddy and will repeated in disbelief.

"until then, agents harmon and wallace here will stay with you. along with miss louise." the lady explained. louise thought it was stupid to have her join owens and jude, give el a speech that she needed el's help in defeating this thing that's planning on killing everyone, then separate them so in reality, if anything, louise and el were on their own.

"we're not the ones in danger." mike stated.

"our friends live in hawkins. our families live in hawkins." maddy agreed.

"and i'll work to contain the situation until eleven is ready. in the meantime, it is of vital importance you do not speak to anyone about this."
