lydia had melody on her back, too afraid that the eight year old would accidentally step on a vine. "uh... i don't mean to freak anyone out, but i swear we've seen this tree before." robin commented. her flashlight shined upon one of the trees in the forest.
"that's impossible."
"that would suck, right?" she asked, "if vecna destroyed the world because... 'cause we got lost in the woods?" lydia nodded in agreement. she really hoped that they wouldn't get lost.
"we're not lost, robin." robin sarcastically chuckled and began running off with lydia following, "robin, lydia, hey. watch out for the vines! hive mind. remember" nancy shouted after them, "and be careful you have a kid on your back!" she added on.
"thank you!"
the two girls ran in silence. the only sound was their feet hitting the ground. after a minute or so, they finally found the creel home. it looked much more creepier in the upside down than it did in the normal world. vines covered it, everywhere. the playground was creepy as well.
the house had bats swarming it. most of the bats were on the roof, some others circled around it.
looking to each other, lydia and robin nodded before running back over to nancy and steve. "hey, guys!" shouted robin. lydia slowed down when seeing how close nancy and steve were. "you guys! awesome news!" robin panted, stepping forward. "looks like we weren't going the wrong way after all." the two of them only stared back at her. "come on." lydia spun on her heel and ran off into the direction of the creel house with the other three following.
melody let out a groan and mumbled under her breath, "more running. great." lydia chuckled, adjusting melody on her back. she heard steve calling out for her and robin to slow down but him and nancy eventually caught up.
