it felt like an eternity before the paramedics arrived. by the time they did, the pain from diana's arm and leg had finally begun to hurt and it hurt a lot. it no longer felt numb as it did before when she was first thrown out of vecna's trance. after a lot of thinking, she had come to the conclusion that max had kicked her out somehow. it still confused her since it was her mind but it was the only logical explanation.
the doctors ripped max from her arms, and carried her away. the doctors also lifted her up onto a second stretcher even though she refused. she was carried into a separate ambulance from max, and ezra went with her while lucas and erica went with max.
at the hospital, they set both of her limbs back into place and put a cast on her arm and leg. ezra got to stay only because of the earthquake, otherwise, he wouldn't been kicked out since it was way past visiting hours.
at around three am, a doctor entered the room followed by two cops, powell and callahan. "mind if we ask you some questions?" she didn't want to answer any questions but she nodded her head anyways. "how are you?"
she stared at them. that was the most stupidest question she had ever heard. they think that she had just been attacked by the serial killer and they ask her how she was? "as good as i can be." she answered, pursing her lips. she gave ezra a quick glance.
"do you know who attacked you?" she shook her head.
"they had a mask on." she lied, "a black one." callahan pulled a picture out of his pocket and flashed it in front of her.
"do you think it could've been him?" powell questioned. tears brimmed in her eyes as she shook her head. he had showed her a picture of eddie.
