•Chapter 3•

•Darcy's POv•

I couldn't help myself from smiling when I saw him, my life saver. Thanks to him I still had my job. well for now anyways. He was sitting at the furthest corner on a cream sofa - my favourite spot in the shop to sit at, and he was staring at his hands thoughtfully. He looked...nervous?

As I came through the door her looked up. His glance was a little intense and I immediately blushed and looked away to take notice of the small shop. Hannah was behind the counter and when she saw me she gave me a small wave, which I returned with a grin.

''Hey! Thank you so much for what you did yesterday - it was really kind of you. Here I got the money that I owe you. Can I buy you a cup of coffee or one of those delicious chocolate chip muffins to thank you?'' I told him as I sat opposite him and took out my purse from my floral bag.

''Morning Darc! Here you go'' I looked up and saw Hannah standing with a plate and two cups, that she placed in front of me and the blond guy in front of me.

''Wow you must be really thirsty !'' I stated as I eyed his order and saw that he had ordered two cups of coffee.

''You don't seem to be in a rush today like you where yesterday'' He told me as he smiled at me. He shoved one of the cups in front of me.

''Erm...thank you'' No boy had ever bought a drink for me before! I took a sip from the cup and was surprised that it was my favourite drink from Starbucks!

''So...you are Darcy aren't you ?'' He asked me still smiling.

I nodded. ''Yes that's me. And you are ?''

''I'm your life saver obviously !'' He said as he let out an adorable laugh and looked at me.

''Oh yes. how could I ever forget that? So-life saver are you still in school, or do you work or something ?'' I asked him before I took another sip from the delicious drink that he had bought me.

''Well I do have a job besides being your life saver, I'm a musician I play in a band...'' He told me as he took a bite of his wrap that was making me hungry by just looking at it.

''Cool,I really love music! What instrument do you play?'' I asked him interested.

''I play the guitar and I sing a little as well'' As I looked up at him I noticed that he was pondering over something.

•Niall's POV•

Ok,she honestly didn't have an idea about who I was. That was so weird. A young teenage girl living in central London not knowing who I was. We had done so many interviews and commericals on television and on the radio. Maybe she was just pretending? Well if she was, she was a very good actress because she didn't seem to recognise me.

I looked up at her, maybe she would recognise me if I told her my name?

She looked much more...mature today. Yesterday she was a little bit more colourful and tomboyish with her batman sweater and no make up at all. Today she was wearing black wedge ankle boots and a simple causal dress with a military jacket. She also wore some makeup, not much tough, but her dark brown eyes seemed even more beautiful than before, she wasn't wearing her nerdy glasses as well. And her dark purple hair was down and wasn't wavy like the day before, she must have straightened it. I have to admit that she looked really gorgeous.

''My name is Niall, Niall Horan'' I waited for her reaction and studied her face carefully,nothing. This was really strange, did she live in some cave or underground where there weren't any technology?

''Niall, that's a name that I have never heard before, I really like it though. Are you English?'' She asked me.

''No, I'm Irish. Where are you from?,cause from your accent I can tell that you aren't from around here'' I told her, I was really interested to know from where she was.

''I'm from Malta, it's a very small island in the Mediterranean sea, not many people know about it'' She told me and I could tell that this saddened her a bit by the look in her eyes.

''I have never been there''

''Well you should visit it sometimes, it's the opposite of London, it's very hot and small it doesn't  even snow there !'' She exclaimed.

''I would like to visit there sometime'' I told her with a smile, I was really interested to visit her homeland because it was a place that I had never heard of before and I had travelled half of the world- and no I wasn't making this up.

•Darcy's POV•

At the sound of my mobile phone receiving a text I leaned back in my seat. Niall and I had without noticing leaned over the table closer to each other. I picked out my mobile phone from my bag and read the text.

From Bo :

I have gone out to buy some new clothes and after I have a photo shoot, have fun on your date babe and tell me everything when I get back at the flat! xoxo

No matter how much I told her that this wasn't a date she still didn't believe me. We had been in the shop for an hour or so just chatting about random things and our interests. We had so many things in common!

''What are you up to today?'' He asked me as we made our way to the door.

''I think I am going to stay in my apartment and have a movie marathon or something.'' I told him. The sun was starting to get warmer and warmer, finally we were soon going to get rid of this freezing weather I really hated Winter.

''How about - oh never mind I can't anyways I have to go and visit my...umm mother.'' He told me as he looked down at his phone ''Fuck I'm late they are going to kill me, I'm so sorry Darcy but I really need to go it was nice to get to know you better!'', he looked in quite a hurry I wonder what he was late for.

''Oh ok goodbye and thanks for today I really enjoyed it!'' I told him before I turned around to make my way back to my apartment.

''Wait!'' He called after me as I turned around and started to make my way back home. ''Do you have my number?''

''No I don't'' I told him as I made my way towards him again. He took my mobile phone from my hand and entered his number in my contact list.

''Call me if you need anything and if you need someone to hang out with don't hesitate to call me I'm here for you, thanks for today'' He told me after he had handed me my phone back. I saw that he had saved his number under  your personal life saver not his real name.

''I will and thank you !'' We hugged briefly and started to walk away from each other in different directions. I couldn't wait for Niall to call me so we could hang out together again he was a really good friend.
