Summer Love ~

•Chapter 25•

The next morning at 10 o'clock I was waiting in an ugly lime room with Bo for the appointment that she had sat up from me. That morning I hadn't threw up but she was still convinced that I should visit a doctor.

''Ms.Darcy?'' A middle aged woman with her blonde hair tied up in a neat bun walked out of a white door after a woman with two kids who were coughing had walked out of the room.

''That's me'' I told her as I got up from the chair and walked towards her while Bo walked closely behind me.

''Please take a seat and tell me why are you here today.'' The doctor who's name was Clarissa told me as she gestures for both of us to take a seat. I immediatley started to explain to her that I had been throwing up for the past week and that it might have something to do with my condition. Her eyes immediately softened when I told her that and she gave me some words of encouragement.

''Sweety, have you done a pregnancy test?'' She asked me.

''N-no'' I stuttered, where was she going with this? Surely I wasn't pregnant, I couldn't be.

''Just take this and go through that door, it tells you what to do on the box.'' She told me as he handed me a white stick that she had got out from one of the many drawers in the room and pointed to a silver door.

I took it immediatley and Bo gave me a disbelieving look as I made my way towards the room that she had pointed to.

I did what was told on the box and after about four minutes I got out of the room. My heart was thumping a thousan times per second, I couldn't wait to see what it said. I went back into the other room and handed the doctor the stick as I sat down in the seat next to Bo, she immediatley took my hand in hers and started to rub circles on it, trying to calm me down.

While we were waiting I received a message from Niall.

Hey babe, how is it going at the doctor? Let me know as soon as possible when you know what you have. Love you xxxx

I wasn't planning on telling him what we were currently doing because I was sure that I would freak him out so I just sent him a message telling him that we were still waiting. Just as I put my phone back in my jeans pocket the doctor looked up at me with a smile on her face.

''This is positive, which means that you are pregnant. Sometimes these aren't accurate so we always do a second test.'' My heart immediatley stopped when I heard her words, no this wasn't possible. I took the glass of water that she had handed me and the second test and I repeated the procedure for the second time.

''This shows that you are pregnant once again, congratulations!'' She told me with a cheery voice. I just stood there unmoving was this happening for real? Bo immediatley started to ask the doctor when I should go for my first Ultra sound and about other things but I didn't pay any attention. I put my hand on my belly to see if I felt anything different, but everything was normal.

''Here is the address and number where you can set up an ultrasound, congratulations once again Darcy and take care.'' The doctor told me with a smile.

Bo and I walked out of the clinic and walked back to our apartment since it was within walking distance.

''So how are you feeling Darc? You're going to be a mummy, how are you planning to tell Niall? Can I be the godmother please?'' She asked me excitedly.

''Bo, you do realise that my baby is going to be without a mother don't you?'' Her eyes widened immediatley and she didn't say a word as  realisation hit her.

I was sitting on my bed all alone I needed some time to think. I picked up my phone and dialled Niall's number, I knew that he was in a middle of a band meeting but I had  to talk to him immediatley.

After five rings he picked up his phone.

''Hello Darcy, did the doctor tell you what you have?'' I heard him getting up from his seat and telling someone that he would be right back.

''Niall, can you come over here as soon as possible?''

''What's wrong, princess? I'll be there in ten ok?'' He told me in a rush and I could hear him running.

''Ok, see you soon'' I told him before I hung up.

Ten minutes later I heard Bo open the front door and welcome someone in, a few seconds later I heard my bedroom door open and I looked up at the person that I had been wanting to see.

He immediatley made his way towards me and sat on the bed next to me with his arms wrapped around me. He didn't say anything so I decided to break the silence.

''Niall, I don't know how you are going to take this'' I started, but he nodded his head to tell me to go on. ''Niall I'm I'm, pregnant'' I finally told him with a sigh. He didn't say anything instead he stood unmoving as I had at the doctor's.

''You mean we are going to be parents?'' He asked me in a sort of daze and I nodded my head. ''God Darcy, I'm so excited! I'm going to be a father! We should start thinking about names an-''

''Niall, the doctors said that I only have about a year and a half more, I will only be able to take care of our baby for less than a year.'' I told him in a sad tone.

''We're going to new doctors next week and I'm sure that they will find a cure'' He told me with a smile as he kissed the top of my head. ''You don't know how happy I am Darc! When is your ultrasound?'' He asked.

''We can go next week if you want, the sooner the better'' I told him with a smile.

That night we spent it together in my bedroom talking about our future with our child. Thank God he had took the news quite well and he had managed to make me feel better about being pregnant. I now had faith that everything will turn out fine in the end.
