"And did you see that I literally threw the dagger at him and got it so perfectly? It was insane!" Ellie tells Ivy as she shuts the door from entering her apartment.

I know, I was there, Ivy ribbits.

"Sorry, I'm just so amped still. Do you think I impressed Hunter? Not that I tried or anything." She cockily smirks.

Really? You're asking if you impressed a random blonde teenager? Ivy croaks.

"Stop being a Debbie Downer. You wait here, I need to get out of this armor."

She shuts the door to her room leaving Ivy in the kitchen. The frog never stays in one place for long so who knows where she'll be next. It's already fairly late so Ellie can change into way more comfortable clothes.

She picks out purple sweatpants first and then a plain black tank top. She slides in her socks across the floor to be in front of her vanity. She puts her hair in a high ponytail with a purple scrunchie that matches her pants.

Almost as soon as she's done there's a knock at her door. That's when she realizes all of the scars along her shoulders and arms are very visible. It's alright, it can't be anyone too important. She steps out of her room and into the main area where Ivy is sitting on the couch curled up in a blanket. Another knock comes that gets her to roll her eyes. She pulls open the door to see a very stressed Darius with a paper in his hand.

"Darius? Why are you here so late, man?" She asks and takes a peek outside to see if anyone else is there.

"It's a draining spell! Belos is planning a draining spell!" He yells before letting himself in through the door. Ellie just shuts it behind her and follows where he's walking to the kitchen.

"It's a what? What the hell is a draining spell?" She asks.

"It's exactly what it sounds like. He plants to drain all of the magic from people with sigils on the Day of Unity. He's been planning this forever now." Darius continues ranting.

"Okay, hold on let me get something." She says and giddily runs to her big closet.

Now they finally have some real information. She's had a big bulletin board with wheels waiting to be used in her closet that she rolls out. There's a whiteboard on the other side which adds to the spectacle.

"This book has everything we could ever ask for. I'm starting to appreciate teamwork more." He adds as she finally stops it right in front of them.

"So, how do we stop the draining spell?" She asks while turning the board over to be a whiteboard. She grabs one of the blue markers she attached and writes the question while Darius flips through the question.

"I don't know. We can't really stop it so we have to interrupt it or ruin it, make it unusable." He stresses more.

"We have to find a way to corrupt the spell basically. Hey, how did you describe the Owl Lady's curse?" She asks.

"It made everything go black and...and destroyed everything with the bard spell!"

"I wonder if her curse could do the same with the draining spell. But wouldn't she have to get a sigil?" She suggests.

"A normal sigil wouldn't be strong enough. She would have to somehow get to where the coven-heads are but either way, Raine would never go for it." He sighs.

"But if it's our last chance? We only have a few weeks left to come up with something. The soldiers are getting restless and anxious and frankly, so am I. Especially now knowing it's a draining spell. We need more allies, we need to be bold, we need this plan." She pushes.
