"How'd it go?" Hunter asks as soon as she gets in the car.

"It was alright. My mom's kind of a jerk but other than that, not bad." Ellie shrugs.

"Well, we're proud of you for putting yourself out there and getting out of your comfort zone!" Camila tries.

"What happened?" Luz asks.

"The only really good part was talking to my sister again. My step-dad is a total freak and was asking if I've ever killed someone and how I did it. That was weird. My step-sisters were annoying and wanted me gone from the moment I walked in. And my mom said I look like I came out of a gang movie and is already trying to change me. But my sister is the coolest! She's ten but she's actually pretty funny. And I got to see my old room. They did sell like half of my closet though." Ellie explains.

"At least you had fun with you sister!" Luz tries.

"Apparently I met Harry Styles in like 2015 and he signed a poster but I don't remember it." Ellie says and Luz gasps.

"No way! I'm so sorry. Imagine meeting Harry Styles and then not remembering it!" Luz puts her hands over her face.

"Ellie, look back here!" Gus squeals before she turns around to see a big giraffe stuffed animal that reaches the roof of the car.

"Wow, that is...how are we gonna get that on the plane?" Ellie asks.

"We might have to check it, but it's okay. That's his human realm souvenir." Camila laughs.

"Did you talk to the giraffes?" Ellie asks.

"They don't want to go back to the demon realm for some reason. They'll need a little more convincing but they said they get free food and a nice living space here." Gus complains.

"We had to wait two hours before the giraffe exhibit was empty so Gus could talk to them without any humans seeing." Willow laughs.

"And they only started talking when we showed them our ears." Amity adds.

"If anyone can convince them, it's Gus." Ellie nods and Gus just nods back with a big smile.

"What other animals did you guys see?"

"Birds! So many birds! We got to walk through a big cage of them and there was another Flapjack!" Hunter excitedly pats his lap as he talks.

"He talked to the bird expert for like twenty minutes." Luz laughs.

"I had to know what species each one was! There was this blue one and it's wings could go so wide, it was insane." Hunter rants happily.

"I liked the aquarium section best. There were so many colorful fish and some of them were racing each other." Willow speaks up.

"That sounds so nice." Ellie smiles.

"There was a lot more ducks than I expected. And they weren't from the zoo, they were just wandering around." Amity adds.

"One of the ducks even chased Hunter!" Gus laughs.

"I thought we were gonna talk about it." Hunter complains.

"Kiki-duck?" Ellie laughs.

"She is small and annoying." Amity shrugs.

"Kikimora isn't cute enough to have a duck counterpart." Luz shakes her head.

"I'm surprised how close the hotel is to your house." Camila admits as they pull into the place. "But then again, traffic hasn't peaked yet."

"It definitely gets worse around five." Ellie agrees while they park.
