WARNING: ellie "jokes" and talks about suicide twice
"Welcome to Baskin Robbins, how may I- no. Absolutely not, you guys have to go." Ellie crosses her arms.
"I don't know what I want, I need a sample. Maybe a few samples." Luz walks to the counter.
"Ellie, look over here." Willow says and when she does, snaps a picture of Ellie.
"I'm a paying customer, Elle. You have to help me." Luz leans smugly on the glass.
"Fine, what do you want?" She sighs.
"I want a sample of mint chocolate chip, please." Luz smiles.
"You hate mint chocolate chip."
"Maybe I've changed my mind." She shrugs.
"Fine, fine." Ellie shakes her head while reaching for the little pink spoon. All of her witch friends watch with interest as she scoops it onto the sample spoon. The anticipation only rises as Luz tastes the sample.
"I don't like it. Can you throw this away?" She holds the spoon back to Ellie.
"Voy a dejar este trabajo." Ellie whispers and takes the spoon to throw away.
"I don't even know why we're here, she's lactose intolerant." Hunter whispers.
"Can we order now?" Gus whines.
"Gus, the bit isn't over." Luz nudges him.
"Maybe we should cut this one short, I want the weird funnel with the...chocolate fudge." Amity points to the waffle cone and then the flavor.
Ellie goes on to scoop everything everyone wants. Gus goes straight after Amity, asking for a cone of cotton candy flavored ice cream. Willow asks for a cup of cherries jubilee while Luz gets a cone of cookie butter. Luz laughs particularly hard when Hunter gets a cup of old fashioned butter pecan.
"Is that it?" Ellie asks by the cash register.
"Yes, that's all we want." Luz grins widely.
"Cash or card?" Ellie sighs, already having a feeling of what she's gonna say.
"Ellie," Luz sings out. "You know I love you. You're my sister, the Harry to my Niall, the Shaggy to my Scooby, the-"
"I'll get it." Ellie laughs and reaches to grab her wallet to get her card.
"Thanks, Ellie." The group says around the same time as she swipes her card.
"No one's even here, why's it so empty?"
"Last day of summer, most people are doing shit to make up for the days they've wasted." Ellie shrugs.
"Oh, right." Luz nods quietly.
"Oh, yeah! You guys start school tomorrow. That's exciting." Gus tries to lighten the mood.
"Wait until they find out I went missing for three years. That'll be a fun one to explain." Ellie smiles while eating a spoon of cookie dough.
"We're still having no luck with the portal. There was nothing about that in the Day of Unity plans you had?" Amity asks.
"Nope, nothing." Elle sighs.
"We still don't know who helped him find the Collector or who they even are." Gus crosses his arms.
"I can't imagine there are many ways to make a portal without titan blood. I mean, it's the most powerful substance on the Isles," Ellie tries. "If we don't get back to the demon realm by next July, I'm gonna kill myself."
