"The Day of Unity is TOMORROW people! Let's get to work." Captain Flintbrow yells as all of the tired witches start walking to the field.
"Is it really necessary to do this so early?" Luz asks Ellie who's leading the group to the field.
"I don't like waking up early but it helps with time management and developing a good work ethic." Ellie shrugs. "We're talking about our plan today and working everything out so it shouldn't be too taxing. That's why I'm doing it first while Cap is gonna work with the soldiers. And probably because he doesn't wanna babysit everyone before they're awake."
"Hey, Elle. Don't be afraid to raise your voice or tell them what to do. If they don't listen, make them hear you." Cap runs ahead and tells her.
"Got it. We switch in an hour right?" She asks with a smile.
"Yes. Have fun, kiddo!" He pats her back before walking off.
Ellie starts leading the CATs to the bigger space of the field while the soldiers go to the training area. Everyone still looks dead when they make it to the spot. She steps ahead of them and even Darius, Raine, and Eberwolf look like they're falling asleep.
"Good morning, everyone." She greets and only gets tired mumbles in response.
"Good morning, Lieutenant! We are ready to work it." Luz winks.
"We need to get down to business now if we want to stop this draining spell. Did Captain Flintbrow send me a bunch of babies when we needed powerful witches, humans, and demons?" Ellie asks.
"No!" Luz is the loudest once again but everyone tries to follow suit.
"You're the baby." Darius pouts.
"Get up here, Darius." She smirks and gestures for him to come up.
"I'm too tired for this." He grumbles and steps up to face her. She smiles at him before bringing her hand up and smacking him across the face.
"I wouldn't take this behavior from any of my soldiers and I'm not taking it from you." She stands her ground.
"You're gonna pay for that!" He yells and an abomination steps in front of her.
"Rip him apart!" Eda yells and everyone looks at her.
"She is going three for three against Belos." Luz smirks.
Ellie pulls her sword out and slices the abomination clean in half and leaves the goo boiling on the floor. Everyone looks surprised at the boiling goo. Even Ellie didn't know the Valhalla sword could do that.
"Love you, man, you're a good sport." She pats his back as he walks angrily back to the group. "Time isn't gonna slow down for you all to get it together. Do you want Belos to win?"
"No!" More participation from the group starts.
"Prove it. Everyone, get into your Day of Unity groups and pay attention because I won't be repeating myself. If you all listen and do what you're told, we might all survive."
Everyone slowly starts to wake up as they find their groups. They went over them late last night so this is also to see if they remembered the information. Thankfully, nobody forgot their groups but now everyone looks a little more anxious. But Ellie feels the same way, this is making everything feel a lot more real.
"Alright, places everyone. We're gonna go through everything step by step." The movement starts again but Luz stays right by Ellie's side.
"What are we even doing?" Luz asks.
