5.) Deciding

  "And that's all for tonight. You may all go back to your quarters." Belos concludes and Hunter can't stand up quicker.

  He dashes out of his room before anyone else can even stand. He can feel the looks but he doesn't care. What should he do? Should he tell Belos about Luz and that girl? Last time he checked, they were two humans. Belos would want to know. But there are a lot more things to worry about regarding that girl than her species.

  He slams the door and tosses himself into his room. His face is in the pillows muffling his ranting to himself. Then, he lets out the most high-pitched scream he's ever had into the pillow.

  "Okay, Hunter. Calm down and be cool." He mutters to himself and picks up his scroll again to see the message she sent after he got in trouble.

SWIFTIE4LYFE: so she finds out he's a vampire but she still wants to be with him even though he low-key wants to eat her and then a few movies later they have this deformed robot half vampire half human baby named resume or something i can't remember

  "NO WHAT DID I DO? HOW DO I END IT?" Hunter screams at his action right before she joins.

  "Why are you- woah. Blonde." She says surprised. "You know, that's exactly what I expected you to look like."

  "I guess I can change my profile picture now." He laughs.

  "I didn't expect you to call or else I would've turned off all the lights and started chanting at you." She teases.

  "Stop making fun of me for thinking everything is wild magic. You think everything I say is human things that don't make sense to me." He sighs and lays down on his back.

  "So, I got the Golden Guard in trouble? My life mission has been accomplished." She quips.

  "I feel bad for you if that's your life mission." He laughs and immediately regrets it.

  "Ha! And I made the Golden Guard laugh. I'm on a roll today." She snickers and successfully makes his face and ears go pink.

  Suddenly he remembers the topic of the meeting. Maybe he would turn in the First Lieutenant of the resistance against his uncle but this laughing sixteen-year-old? The more he talks to her the more conflicted he gets.

  "So, uh what is it that you do for fun, princess?"

  "Don't call me that. I like stomping on enemy's faces and kicking ass." She jokes and he rolls his eyes.

  "Be serious."

  "Mm, I don't know. Listening to music? I like listening to the soldier's conversations while they do laundry and stuff like that. Apparently, there's a love triangle going on." She winks.
