A/N: just a warning, this is where the original second half of the story starts :) (takes place right after king's tide)
"Ay Dios, come in, come in, all of you." She says shakily gesturing them all inside.
"I'm sorry this is so...unannounced." Luz stumbles through the sentence, leading the way inside the house.
The warm is a large contrast compared to the outside. Luz and Ellie slip off their shoes on the way in so everyone follows behind them. Amity walks quickly to catch up with Luz as Ellie follows right behind them, more comfortable than Gus, Willow, and Hunter.
"Mija, you don't have to apologize for that. You can all sit down. Vee, can you go get some towels, por favor!" She asks. Luz sits in the middle of the couch as everyone sits around her. "My name is Camila, I'm Luz's mom. What are your names?" She asks before the witches all look at each other, no one knowing if it's okay.
"I'm Ellie." She speaks up first.
"She's a human, Mamá. She was in the demon realm too." She explains.
"I'm Gus."
"I'm Willow."
"I'm Hunter."
"I'm Amity."
"She's my girlfriend." Luz gives her mom and Amity a small smile.
"I'm here with the towels!" The basilisk announces as Hunter panics and backs up into the couch and into Ellie. "Golden Guard?"
"You! Number five?"
"You already forgot my number? Classic Emperor's coven. Selfish-"
"Vee, behave. They're all scared right now." Camila smiles.
"He tried so hard to capture me with his coven scouts." She defends.
"You should've seen what the Emperor did to me and Lilith when we couldn't catch you." He points his finger at her.
"Calm down, man." Ellie says as she takes his hand.
"Luz, what happened?"
"It's a long story."
"Can you try?"
"And then we landed here." She says through tears.
"Oh my- are you all hurt? Hungry? Tired?" She asks looking at all of them.
"All of the above." Luz tries to joke.
"Let me go finish this sopa, I'll be back." She says before standing up.
"I think I'm gonna pass out," Willow says out of the blue.
"Ellie, can you go ask my mom for some water? For Willow. I'll go get the first-aid kit for everyone." Luz stands up and walks into a hallway.
"If you don't come back in five minutes, I'll go fight whoever hurt you." Hunter nods as she starts walking to the kitchen.
"Don't do that." She says right before entering the kitchen. "Camila?"
"Hm? Oh, hi, Mija. What can I help you with?" She asks warmly.
"May I have a cup of water for Willow? And honestly, maybe everyone. They're all a bit freaked out." She asks politely. Though she notices Camila's eyes on her swords. "I'm so sorry, let me go put these up."
"No, no, it's okay! I was just curious. Of course, you can all have water. Also out of curiosity, where are you from? And do you need me to call your parents?" She asks, heading to the cabinet.
