"raiders!" Fhaires yelled. she held the horse's rope above her head. preventing the horse from running further "surrender and we will leave you with no harm." one of the men yelled as he pointed his spear in front of fhaires's eye. the horse neighed anxiously as it was stomping its hoofs on the brick pavement. "why would i want to surrender. i have nothing to offer!" she yelled. one of the men gritted his teeth as he raised his spear towards the side of the carriage. directly pointing at Zelana who was looking frantically left and right. Oblivious to the whole facade in front "we want her!. i bet she has some nice things underneath all the armor." one of the men chuckled. fhaires frowned. feeling a heavy sense to flee and trample the armed men. "You won't touch a hair of that woman!!" she yelled. But before she could spit out another word. A heavy sting ran up to fhaires's head, she coughed. "huh?" she said as she held one of her arms up. On the once beautiful green silk dress, a deep crimson red liquid tainted her sleeves, glancing down towards her abdomen she gasped, the shiny metal spear had impaled right through her stomach. blood was spewing out as she tried to wiggle it free from her body. yet it was in vain as the spear had impaled right through her into the carriage. locking her in place. With every direction she tried to pry it loose, the pain only increased. Tears began running down from her face as the agonizing pain only increased. "what have you done?" she said, almost puking from the intense headache, the men were cackling and laughing hysterically. She could see that the men were heartless cold wretched humans, only living off the dead. "Did you see that? that poor little lady tried to defend herself yet got herself killed instead." one of the men said. glaring at her while grinning ear to ear. tears fell out of her eyes as her sight slowly faded, slowly succumbing as her breath grew heavy each second one of the men walked towards her. leaning towards her ear saying "you should have listened." his deep dark low voice echoed through fhaires's head. but before she closed her eyes. she screamed out of the top of her lungs. shrieking so loud that the men covered their ears. "What stop it you wretched human!"
Zelena's eyes widened. horrified as all of the sudden a spear pierced the front wall. its blade covered in blood. "what?" she said as she stared at the blood covered wall. Almost at a loss for words she tried to reach out but hesitated and decided that it was too late "no no no no NO!" she whispered, realizing her friend had just been killed. she held one of her hands up in front of her face. still staring at the blood covered blade, unable to make sense of the gore in front of her. blood was oozing out like a stream. rage filled inside her. gritting her teeth and clenching her fists. She grabbed her bow and stepped out of the carriage, slamming its door shut with a loud thud. She looked towards the men who were still humiliating fhaires lifeless body . "you have violated eulithia's act of freedom and protection. by the blade that you used to harm an innocent citizen, I have the right to punish you. By death" she said as she glared towards the men. The men did not give a single thought or remorse. One of the men turned to face Zelana. Her anger only grew stronger as his smile infuriated her even more. "you think we will surrender to some young lady in armor?. look down below. even those bastard souls could not protect their village!" one of the men said. still cackling like a crazed clown that had come loose in a circus. "well. I still have some time to kill so I might as well take you too, seeing that you won't surrender. Sad... I really thought we could have a kind of you and me time tonight. But that young body of yours is sadly owned by someone who worships those damned gods of yours'' he said as he grabbed his sword and raised it in the air, pointing it towards Zelana's face. The men soon followed, Zelana bit her teeth together. "So be it. I will leave you no mercy" she said. pointing her bow at them. Pointing the arrow in the air, "may hellfire rain!. may those whom do harm suffer in great agony. may those who mean ill suffer the consequences of their actions as those are not meant for mercy." the men smiled. "this is getting fun!" as she released the arrow. a circular pentagram appeared in the sky. Right above the men below. Its red glow gave one of the men a horrifying fright, Before the men could react, a rain of arrows fell out of the sky. As the arrows touched the ground. Explosions blasted in the air. A thick black smoke covered the entire bridge, before litting up an entire ring of fire. one of them screamed as his back filled with hot flaming arrows. burning his skin as he suffered alive. "You really think that your oh so terrifying spell could scare me? I've killed more people then you could think of." Selena stared menacingly into his blue eyes. He felt a short sense of frit before grinning like a maniac he laughed menacingly as he dragged the sword across the stone floor. His eyes widened as he raised his sword. Screaming while charging towards zelana. Zelana did not move an inch. Unphased by the pointless act by a mere madman. She held her bow in front of her. Lining the arrow in between the eyes of the man, closing one eye to get more accurate But before she could release the fate deciding kill. The man's sword lit up as thunder roared across the sky above them. Its blade, turning from a once pure black steel to a bright ember like hue. Old eulithian words appeared in the middle of the sword as the fire that surrounded them grew higher. "those who do not serve visiok shall feel its wrath.for they have become its foes." he raised his sword high above his head. Screaming as he dropped the sword onto Zelana. But. his scream was cut off as an arrow pierced right through his neck. The sword flung across the bridge. Narrowly missing Zelana by an inch. He dropped down on his side while trying to reach for air. Gasping as he struggled to breath. Trying to reach out for Zelana for mercy. "those who threaten the peace of eulithia shall succumb to their own mistake." Zelana stared ominously down towards the helpless men. Her fierce and stern look frightened the man even more before he eventually dropped silently on the floor. "A mere arrow killed you? I thought you were stronger than this. What a joke" Zelana said. She observed her surroundings. Expecting more to come. Yet none appeared out of the thick black fog. Only the 3 dead men laid on the ground. She glanced down at her feet. Feeling sorrow "I never wanted to have blood on my hands again... why do people find reasons to fight each other about things which never mattered. Why why why?" tears began falling down on her cheeks as she fell down to her knees. "Why! Why do innocent lives always die at the hands of vile beings!" she whispered. Trying to speak yet she could only whimper. Glancing behind her towards the lifeless body of the once bright girl. Now as pale as a vampire. "I only knew you for a day.." trying to wipe away her tears. She screamed out her lungs. Suddenly the ring of fire dissipated as rain started pouring down. Soaking the ground with a thick red liquid. The cold water gave Zelana an intense sense of regret as the wind picked up. "I'm so sorry for my negligence" glancing back down towards the blade the man once wielded. She noticed orange embers flying into the air. Disappearing as they flew higher and higher. Suddenly she realized what the script said that appeared on the sword "those who are worthy to wield its soul. Shall be worthy enough to feed its eternal slumber. As the crimson red liquid taints its body. It will regain its power to avenge the fallen. For they have sacrificed their body to an agonizing suffer between dead and alive." At first when Zelana noticed it while fighting the man, she thought none of it. Thinking it was just a random spell all blacksmiths used. Yet this one was exceptional. It was one of the ancient swords made by a renowned blacksmith that she read about in old legends and folktales. "Those who can achieve the divinity of the god bibilona, the god of fire and death, will be able to forge a sword. So powerful that even the gods themselves are mortal if they are challenged. By the hands of the one who is able to wield such a sword, is able to stand face to face with their fiercest foes and mightiest enemies. Only those who are pure by soul shall be able to kill those who threaten its life and its security. Those who are of ill intent shall face an agonizing long suffering of suffocation and bibiliona's wrath. May they meet their fate by order of their intent." Zelana glanced back at the man who lay in front of her. The arrow still sticking out of his neck as the arrow dripped with its blood. Suddenly the man burned up and turned to ashes. Zelana stood silently as she watched the ashes be carried away with the wind, leaving only a bloody arrow as it dropped to the ground. She felt horrified, realizing it was not just some folktale or a legend. She suddenly noticed a ring of shadows appearing above the two men who laid there lifelessly, glancing up she saw crows, circling the area. She sighed. "Let's get you back to your father" she whispered. Standing up slowly wiping away her tears as she walked over to fhaires. She hesitated to pull out the spear, but eventually gave in after taking a deep breath. The sound of gurgling meat and blood nauseated Zelana a bit as blood splattered all over her body. Still feeling heavy, she walked over to the horse. Releasing it from its leash as she put the body of fhaires on the back of the horse. "Please return safely. I don't want to cause any more suffering." Zelana said. Patting the horse goodbye before directing it back into the thick dark forest. She stared towards the horse as its silhouette disappeared amongst the dark depths, never to be seen again. "Right. Now i only have to try to get back to eulithia." she said. Glancing towards the sword. But before she could walk over to it and pick it up. A large loud burst of sound appeared out of nowhere. Glancing up towards the distant walls of eulithia. She saw continuous bursts of light appearing and dissipating. Each sounding a loud bang before the other. Fearing the worst. She grabbed her bow and ran along the unpaved road. "As long as people are not hurt. I will not let another soul die while I'm gone!"
