in the young evening, cloud had asked his wife for approval of the following plans, she resented his proposal, saying its ridiculous and immensely irresponsible to let their daughter venture into fields unknown, cloud begged and begged, saying “but mary, its not only for the future of ourselves, but the whole kingdom,”  his wife held her arm together in disapproval, saying that she will take her away if he does not stop, after a long dispute of going back and forth, yelling at each other, his wife finally agreed, she sat down next to the table with her head down as she put a finger against her temple, “ok”  she sighed in frustration “just make sure that she doesn't get touched or hurt an inch, no matter the circumstance,”  cloud sighed in relief, walking over to her and hugging her out of compassion, deep inside, she was as scared as a sheep hunted by yaclacs, afraid of the thought of seeing her daughter dead because of this, “thank you, don't worry about us, this is for our future,”  he said, kissing her on the cheek, his wife neglected his attention but smiled mildly, trying to hold back even though it was hard to do, “we will depart in about 30 minutes from now, so if you want to, wish her well..” cloud said, standing back up to go to the kitchen and pour himself a glass of water, despite being a chairmen, thought to recieve all lux they could have,  cloud had wihed to refuse such offer and rather wanted to stay at a normal average house within the kingdom, a refresher after a long day of work and talking,

some of the chairman had ridiculed him for refusing the offer, telling him that he was not qualified for his position, yet only he, could negotiate and turn enemies into allies and make people agree to his ideas, that's how the people of eulithia could live freely and were able to do whatever they wanted, if it was within the law of eulithia, his wife stood up, sighing, “i will go and say goodbye to her before i go, may it be the last time i will see her, it is worth to make it more lively then it is,”  cloud nodded, “if you wish,”  his wife walked past him towards the stairs and up to fey’s room, she sighed, before knocking, “honey, i need to tell you something,”  silence ensued, until a rumble of toys and stuff knocked around from behind the door before fey opened it, a  half asleep girl appeared from behind the door, she rubbed her eyes her stark white features did not resonate with the dimly lit bedroom behind her, although she could see that fey already had stuffed her bags with her belongings. she kneeled down, gently gliding along her whitish pink hair, “did you pack the stuff you needed?”  fey nodded half awake, “you did not pack your stuffed friends right?” she asked, fey shook her head, yet she could see the guilty eyes behind her, “tell me honestly,”  fey puffed her cheeks and said, “maybe one, but i need him for remembering you,”  she smiled, “that's sweet of you,  well, may i be by your side till the end of times,”  the girl raised her eyebrow while her eyes were half open, “why does it sound like i am going to die?”   mary snorted, a single tear fell from her eyes, “im sorry, i didn't mean to make it sound so dramatic,”  she chuckled, still preventing herself from breaking down, “go get yourself ready, your father is waiting,”  she said, the girl softly said ok before closing the door again and dressing herself up, mary walked down to see cloud sitting next to the window, overlooking the vast sea beyond the harbor, having his hand against his mouth while he pondered, suddenly the creek of a floorboard sounded and he glanced back, to see his wife, breaking down in tears, his heart sank, despite knowing it had to be done, he was also against it, but, his daughter having abilities to appear invisible to other people’s eyes, he knew she was the only qualified person to be assigned to, he walked over to her, caressing her hair  before raising her head, without saying anything, they both knew that the road ahead was going to be tough, “don't you worry dear, i will keep her safe,”  she nodded,  kissing him on his cheek before she turned away, he sighed, “fey, are you ready?” a bunch of rattling and knocking on the floorboards above before tiny, fast paced footsteps ran down the stairs, “i am..”  fey had dressed herself in her distinct white cloak, covering half of her face and hands, see through sheets of fabric, covering the front of her face as she held 2 traveling bags in her hand, cloud smiled in worry, “go say goodbye to mom,”  fey softly dropped her bags on the floor before she ran to her mother who was facing the window by the kitchen, she could hear her silently crying, trying to hide it, fey opened her mouth, but decided not to say anything, instead, wrapped her arms around her mother’s waist, her mother softly grasped her little hands and told her, “when the wind blows, always remember me watching over you, the rustling of the trees, the stars in the sky above, i will always watch over you,”  “i will miss you mom,”   fey said, putting her head against her moms back, fey looked back to her father who was waiting in the living room, smiling, “i have to go mom,”  fey looked up, her mother nodded, turning back before kneeling down and kissing her on her forehead, her motherly smile made fey’s throat clog with tears, “goodbye”,  her mother said softly, fey turned back to her father who held his arm out, she grasped it and grabbed her bags, cloud grabbed the other one, he did not look back ashe exited his home, for it may be his last time, the last time he will ever feel the safety and warmth of a loving family,  as they stepped out into the summer night, they glanced over to the carriage that cloud had asked to borrow, its dark grey paint, discreet enough to not be seen at night, the black friesian horse, blended in with the midnight hours, “dad,”  fey asked, “hm?”   cloud sounded, raising an eyebrow in curiosity, “I heard that the king had a meeting with the chairmen? Why were you not there?”

cloud chuckled slightly,  “you were asleep during that, don't worry, it's nothing to be worried about,”   “ok,” she said softly,  as they closed in to the carriage, cloud asked fey if he could put her bag in the belongings compartment, fey obliged and handed over her bags,  before she walked towards the door and waited for her father to pick her up and into the carriage, as they did, cloud tapped on her shoulder, “do you know what you have to do?”  he asked, fey nodded, “listen in on the conversations, keep a close eye on the princess and blend in with the dark,”  cloud smiled in satisfaction, “good, tonight i will drop you off at the palace, take the door down below the main bridge and follow along the long maze like hallways when you hear that distinct  soft young voice of a girl, that is when you know that you found luxia,” cloud instructed, fey nodded, yet it all seemed to her like a big textbook from her primary school, but even though it seemed like that, she agreed, continuing to sit on the couch as they headed for the palace, the carriage rocked as it drove along the brick pavement,

the horse hinicked before they came to a stop, the hazy outline of the collosal palace  gave a kind of eerie feeling rather then when you look at it during the day, “we are here,”  cloud said, jumping off the front of the carriage as he  glanced back to the palace, he opened the door and grabbed fey under her arms and placed her down on the road, “why did you stop so far?”  she asked, “because the entrance is heavily guarded by jormungers, and we have the advantage of this streetlamp being broken,”  he said, pointing towards the distance, two jormungers were attentive, watching to road in front of them  for any suspicious activity, holding big greatswords as they stood next to the lines of flags, “see that over there?”  cloud pointed, fey looked over to the stairs that led down the river, she nodded, “walk down to the platform below, underneath it you will see a line of eroded boulders and rocks, jump on top of them towards the door above the palace, sneak along the bushes towards the door the maidens usually take, then try to find luxia’s room, got it?

fey’s mind was filled to the brim with information, but eventually agreed, he knelt down, brushing her hair before saying, “good luck”  he stood up as fey ran towards the stairs with her arms behind her body, until she disappeared down the the stairs,

he turned back with his hands on his head, sighing, “don't make a mess,”  he said silently, glancing at his horse, the hose looked at him before cloud walked to him and patted him on the head, “come on, let's get you somewhere where we  won't be seen,
