the water smushed and swirled around the eroded rock down below the bridge, with it being night made the violent stream all the more frightening, fey observed her surroundings as she stepped onto the wet platform underneath her, soaking her soals wet, she pondered for a bit, trying to think i there was another way for her to jump across, as she looked to the left, she could see that the river streamed towards the port and out into the sea, as she glanced to the right, she could see that the river flowed down from one of the many mountains outside the kingdom's walls, she sighed, giving in and proceeding jump on the first rock infront of her, "hop," she whispered, then again, "hop," and then again, succeeding on the first three before her, yet, when she looked at the next one, she saw that the rock was slightly submerged under the river, the rock almost resembled a boulder, with moss growing on top of it, she hesitated, until finally giving in, jumping, yet.. she lost her footing, making her swing her arms around for balance, with one feet on the solid surface, she managed to regain herself with only an inch to spare, "phew," she said in relief, she proceeded with jumping the next few rocks until she got on th other side, wiping off the dirt, she observed her surroundings, glancing towards the stairs that led up to the palace, footsteps of jormungers were audible enough for it to appear like there were a hundred people station just before it, fey snuk and walked up the stairs, keeping her head low as she peeked around the corner, just suddenly, a group of marching men marched down the path towards the bridge, se hid quickly behind a pillar while waiting for them to clear, as the last jormunger passed by, she quickly ran along the corner into the palace, still keeping her head low, the group of jormungers that were patrolling the courtyard made fey question if she was able to do this, yet, she frowned, telling herself, "don't underestimate a ghost," despite her stark contrast against the dark night, she somehow always were able to hide in plain sight like a ghost, when her father found out, he questioned whether if it was a hoax or a folk lore but when his daughter showed him her abilities, he knew that she was one of a kind, as fey snuk towards the side door, covered in moss, she heard a rumbling of wooden wheels and the metal footsteps of horses, she quietly turned back and hid amongst the bush filled with flowers, as the carriage approached, the jormunger's walked up to it, the horse's hinnicked, raising their feet before staying still, one of the jormungers opened the door of the carriage, as the man stepped out, fey widened her eyes, "dad!" she whispered, cloud happily greeted the jormungers and the king, "it is my pleasure to have you here!," the king said, enthusiastically shaking his hand as he led him inside, cloud laughed as fey noticed a maiden with long smooth dark red hair, following closely behind them, fey felt something odd about her, "don't wait, go!" she said to herself, as she quickly sneaked towards the seemingly vacant door, she thought of someone being inside, shaking her head, she proceeded on, quietly opening the door only to see a room filled with boxes and piles of spices, "must be the storage area," due to there being no windows, the room was kept fairly dark, giving fey an advantage,

as she sneaked down the corridors, she saw a maiden with black hair and a ponytail, who seemingly looked no older than 20, she hid next to one of the cabinets as she walked by, hearing her softly murmuring, "finally, i found someone who did not just simply ignore my presence, fey could hear her softly crying, thinking nothing of it, she sneaked further on down into the seemingly endless maze, as she walked, she could hear wine glasses and scraping of steel down from one of the rooms, she knew not to stray from her path, yet, her curiosity got the better of her, she walked closer, hearing the sizzling of oil and tossing of vegetables, as she peeked, she saw two maidens attentively working, a girl with blonde hair, cooking supper for the king and his guests, while the young girl cleaned the dishes,

fey frowned, "are they really recruiting children my age?" she said to herself, the girl with blond hair stopped cooking and laid her pan down as she asked the other to close the tap, "lanei, i think someone is here," fey's heart sank, and just as quickly as the wind, she hid back behind the corner, she glanced to look for an escape, as she looked to her left she saw the hall that led back to where she came from, while the other one led to a brightly lit room where she could hear people chattering, without thinking, she ran towards the left and took the right, down another hall, it seemed endless, the hall's that turned itself inside out, she questioned who was responsible for this out of the world architecture, "seems like i have to wait before i can follow her," she said, going to one of the dark corners sitting down while waiting, also questioning her father's prescence,
