As days had gone by, luxia and the others came back to eulithia, a kingdom once known for their wisdom and freedom. Yet at this point, everyone began to doubt whether if the saying is true, carcasses of the once roaming giants, their flesh, being torn away by scavenging alacs,
Luxia looked onward through the carriage's windows as the colossal gates opened, the sky looked grim. Its gray clouds covered the whole kingdom as they entered, scaffolding was placed against the buildings that were ravaged by the dragon which had torn through the kingdom, bringing down one of the bridges up above. Still luxia had her doubts if they would come back, as of now, the only thing that mattered to her was her own safety and that of the children and cilliya, as her whereabouts were unknown,
She could see people yelling and pointing at each other as they all rebuilt the kingdom "give me that bucket with cement!" one yelled as the other handed him a bucket. Luxia still pondered how it was taking so long to rebuild since she left, "well. It's a kingdom after all" she thought to herself.
Looking down at her hands, feeling a bit down. "No matter how well you serve your people, and no matter how good you may be, there will always be someone who will try to bring you down." she sighed, "I just want everyone to have freedom.. But giving them would mean chaos." she said softly looking away from the window. The sounds of mechanical gears and filled the silence as she glanced to her right, 2 giant grendals roamed the open clearing, their eyes glowing red as they scanned their surroundings,
"I have seen them before, but I can't place my finger on where I've seen them." she thought to herself again, the carriage rocked side to side as it entered the port of eulithia, giant ships made of metal and wood were coasted along the paddocks, their artillery guns almost the size of a xion.
While she gazed at its immense size, being able to take down a dragon in one shot. She wondered why they were not active during the failed siege.
"Mam, we have almost arrived, the bridge towards the palace is under construction but we can use the secret entrance down below to enter it," elisia said, his voice barely audible through the hinnicking of the horse.
Luxia nodded "ok.. We will proceed with that then." "Is it safe?" she added. Elisia awkwardly grinned, "if you take one step wrong maybe"
Luxia frowned. "Don't play like that again elisia." "my apologies ma'am" he said sarcastically. Luxia glanced again towards her left, seeing a vast ocean behind the port's gate. "Hey.. have you ever wondered what's behind that gate?" luxia asked elisia. "From what I heard only sea monsters and giant waves. May be a reason why these ships don't go out of port." luxia stared in confusion, still clueless despite Elisia giving a vague description. "Don't count on me if you want to learn anything, I just hear stories from people who are drunk as a donkey." elisia added. Whipping the horses leash as they came to a stop. "We have arrived," he said. Jumping off the front bench and walking towards the door. Opening it with an elegant stance, luxia smirked a bit, trying to hold back her laughter as elisia looked into her eyes. "What? What's wrong?" elisia said, smiling slightly, "nothing" luxia replied, glancing to the enormous amounts of scaffolds witch held the partially rebuild bridge in place, glancing down towards the water below, she could see loose boulders, almost as smooth as a marble ball, eroded by the fast running water which crashed against it. "Elisia, mind you, i am not that particularly athletic," luxia said to elisia which was waving down the long line of carriages that all came to a stop,
"Its ok, we have another route, if you look next to those boulders, you can notice a small shallow spot which appeared from the debri of the bridge."
