Day had broke, its sunlight revealing the massive damages that the dragon had caused. The broken pieces of the bridge laid down amongst the flowing water down below. Zelana had ordered the jormungers to check the citizens for any harm or lost close ones. The dragon who she had slain still laid amongst the rubble of the bridge above. It felt like one of eulithia's grimest days. Veranos had managed to jump over the remains of the bridge into one of the palace's secret entrances down below. Fortunately, he was just in time. "luxie .. wake up.." Veranos said softly. Trying not to scare her. Luxia was still frowning uncomfortably as she fumbled around in her sheets. Afraid that luxia might never wake up. He held her hand. "Veranos?" his eyes lit up as luxia opened her eyes. Without a word he tightly hugged her. Almost crying out. "What happened?" she asked. Veranos could only mumble a few words. Luxia shrugged it off and smiled. Wrapping her arms around him. "I thought you would never wake up," he said. Placing both of his hands on her cheeks. His eyes glinted as it filled with water. "I am always here," she said. Trying to comfort Veranos. As she looked out of the window behind veranos. She saw one of the bridges had fallen apart, noticing the large gray dragon below. "What happened?" she could only whisper. "Luxie. When you exit the palace. Things will not look as you might expect. Don't be frightened about what has happened." is all he could say. He did not want to come into detail of what actually happened. She nodded in confusion. But obliged as to not make him worry even more. "Veranos!. Your suit is all tattered up!" she said as she glanced down at his suit. He chuckled awkwardly before saying "i... had quite a confrontation last night." he sighed deeply. "Sweety... What do you remember? What have you seen this time?" he asked. His eyes were stern. "I- i saw eulithia... people screaming. Someone who I know killed by the hands of-" she bawled out in tears as the flashes of memories came back. "It's ok.." he reassured her. "sir . there is a woman waiting for you outside the palace entrance" a jormunger said as he came into the room wielding a lance. Veranos glanced towards the lone jormunger and nodded. "I will be with her soon," he said. The jormunger nodded and closed the door before walking off into the long hallway towards the wrecked ballroom. "Just remember. Always be careful of who you interact with. Who knows. They might be hiding behind a black fog" luxia nodded calmly. Wiping away the tears on her cheeks, she looked towards the window again, closing her eyes as she gave in a deep inhale. Inhaling the fresh morning air as the birds came back. "If you need me I will be downstairs." Veranos added. Luxia nodded. Her white hair flowing with the wind as it gushed into the room. Listening to the fading footsteps of Veranos, she tried to imagine the pitch black void she was in. but she was unable to. As she exhaled. She opened her eyes. Her glowing hazel eyes reflected off the blue sky. "I hope what you said was right," she said, disappointed. Glancing down at her clenched hands. She looked paler than when she fell asleep at the horse stable. The only thing she could remember before ending up in the never ending void was a knight fighting a big machine. A spike of headache rushed in, frowning before putting the palm of her hand on her forehead, supporting its weight as she slowly regained stability. Sighing, she slowly stood up, still staring at the colossal creature below before glancing back and putting on the same dress Cilliya made. Entering the long unlit hallway, she saw broken tables and a torn balcony fence in front of her. Glancing below she saw a mass of jormungers cleaning and picking up various debri, big chunks of rock, glass shards, a torn sword. She could only stare in confusion, knowing full well that it did not look like that before. "Right got to find Cilliya" she thought. Turning to look to her left. She noticed more wrecked tables. Huge gashes on the wall. Seemingly burned up pieces of red carpet. Luxia could not fathom what had occurred in the past month she was asleep. Shrugging it off. She entered the ballroom. She gasped, the jormungers looked up and stared at her. Some had brooms in their hands while the others cleaned up the blood on the rock below the window on the far left. As she observed the room, she saw two big pieces of rock propped up together. Most noticeably was the clean slice through the middle of the rock which no one could explain how it had occurred. "Mam please follow me, ignore the red liquid" she obliged, anxiously following the jormunger in red while slightly glancing at the huge pool of blood beside her. Glancing towards her right. She noticed that the piano in the middle had been seemingly unscaved. Not even a single scratch or dent could be seen. "Mister grand is below the far left." Luxia awkwardly bowed her head as she passed under the knight's arm through the crack of the door, the knight carefully closed the door behind her. Sounding a loud thud that echoed through the long cold stone halls, staring at the sun in the horizon, she could not help but ponder if the woman in the void had something to do with it. But she shrugged it off as she thought it would be too far off. "I really have to stop overthinking sometimes," she said quietly. The halls seemed far too quiet. Birds were no longer chirping and the gush of wind was seemingly absent. "Is this you again?" she asked calmly. No answer. She sighed deeply before walking down the hall again. Her white hair flowing seamlessly as the gush of wind came back. "I really tend to look far too deep sometimes" she thought.
