McCall HouseLeo woke up and looked around. He realised where he was and took a deep breath. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom connected to his room. He had a shower, brushed his teeth and got changed. He looked in the mirror and gelled his hair. In Scott's room, Scott was doing pull ups whilst reading 'The Call of the Wild'. A notification flashes on his screen and makes a ding noise. Scott stops doing pull ups and drops the book of a pile of many books. He looked and saw a Word of the Day email. "Ephemeral. "Lasting for a short time; transient; momentary."" Scott said, reading what it said on the screen. He then put his fingers on his arm where his tattoo was. "...Ephemeral." Scott said sadly.
Downstairs, Leo was eating his breakfast. Melissa had already left for the hospital. So, Leo just poured some cereal in a bowl and ate. Scott then walked down the stairs. "Morning." Scott said. Leo swallowed the cereal in his mouth. "Hey." Leo said. "Ready for your first day?" Scott asked. Leo shrugged. "I guess so. I'm more ready for it to be over." Leo said. Scott laughed quietly at that. Leo finished his breakfast and picked up his bag. "You need a ride?" Scott asked. Leo shook his head. "I'd rather walk than go on that dirt bike. Thanks though." Leo said before leaving the house. He sighed before making his way to school.
Later ~ Beacons Hills High School
Scott pulled up to the school on his new dirt bike. He takes of his helmet and sees two matching motorcycles next to him. Scott then met up with Stiles and told him he wanted Derek to help him with his tattoo. "You wanna ask Derek for help? Why? Why?" Stiles asked exasperatedly. "He's got the triskele tattooed on his back, so, there has to be a way to do it without healing, right?" Scott asked. "Okay, yeah, but still-- doesn't he have his hands a little full right now?" Stiles asked. He then gestures to the missing person posters for Boyd and Erica.
The two then walk past the Principal's office and eavesdropped on his conversation. "Look, these are the applications for the career adviser. I need them sorted." The principal said. The person he was talking to nodded. "And, whatever happened to the library while I was gone? I want it cleared up!" The Principal said. He then picked up a sword. "And what the hell is this?" He asked. Scott and Stiles exchanged a look. "Go, go, go..." Stiles said awkwardly and they both rushed away.
In another part of the school, Allison was placing things in her locker as Lydia looked at the freshman boys. "Freshmen. Tons and tons of fresh men..." Lydia said. "You mean fresh boys. Lydia, they're fourteen." Allison said amused. Lydia shrugged. "Eh, some are more mature than others." Lydia said. "You know, it's okay to be single. Focus on yourself for a little while. Work on becoming a better person." Allison said. Lydia turned to her. "Allison, I love you. So, if you need to do that thing where we talk about me and pretend like we're not actually talking about you, it's totally fine." Lydia said.
Lydia then slammed her hand against the lockers lightly and looked around. "But I don't want a boyfriend. I want a distraction." Lydia said. She then saw a pair of twins walking down the hallway. "Brothers?" Allison asked. "Twins." Lydia said. With Leo, he was walking towards the front office. As he made his way there, he looked around the familiar hallways. Once at the front office, he walked up to the front desk. "Excuse me." Leo said. The receptionist looked at him. "I'm Leo Carter. I'm the new student. Sort of." Leo said.
The receptionist nodded. "Yes, of course. The returning student." The receptionist said. Leo nodded. "That's me." Leo said. The receptionist printed out a schedule and handed it to Leo. "This is your schedule for the year. If you could just wait over there for someone to show you around." The receptionist said. Leo nodded. "Thanks." Leo said and walked over to where she pointed and sat down. He went on his phone and saw he had a text from his aunt.
