Abandoned Parking LotSomeone splashes gasoline over the outside of a sheriff's department cruiser. Deputy Parrish wakes up and finds himself tied to the steering wheel while Deputy Haigh continues to douse the vehicle. "Hey! Hey, what are you doing?" Parrish asked. Haigh didn't say anything. "Listen... Listen to me! I'm a deputy with the Beacon Hills Sheriff's Department..." Parrish said. Haigh looked through the window and saw Parrish awake. "Damn. I was hoping you'd be out longer." Haigh said. "Haigh? What the hell? What are you doing?" Parrish asked.
"You're a good guy, Parrish... But the list says you're worth five million dollars." Haigh said. "What? I don't know what you're talking about!" Parrish said. Haigh continues to cover the vehicle in gasoline. Haigh, listen... I mean, I barely make forty thousand dollars a year--" Parrish said but Haigh cut him off. "I only make thirty-six." Haigh said. He then poured gasoline on Parrish. "AHHHHH!" Parrish shouted in shock. "Haigh, please! Just stop! You don't have to do this. Look, if you're having money problems..." Parrish said. "You're worth five million dead, Parrish-- sounds like you got the problem." Haigh said. "Please! Please don't do this!" Parrish said.
Haigh stops covering him in gasoline and pulls out a lighter. "You're just gonna stand there? You're just gonna listen to a fellow deputy burn to death?" Parrish asked. Haigh puts in headphones, and Parrish struggles harder to get free. Haigh lights a lighter and tosses it in Parrish's lap. "Haigh, wait! No, wait! WAIT!" Parrish said. Parrish screams as the car is quickly engulfed. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Parrish screamed in pain as the flames covered him.
Later ~ Beacon Hills Sheriff Station
At the sheriff station, Stiles, Leo and Lydia go into Sheriff Stilinski's office. Leo had decided to stop avoiding everyone but he still didn't forgive them. "It's not just that she could still be alive--" Stiles said but Lydia cut him off. "It's that she would've had to fake her death." Lydia said. "Your grandmother, Lorraine Martin, faked her death?" The sheriff asked. "Definitely." Stiles said. "Maybe." Lydia said. "It's a possibility." Leo said. "More than likely, yes." Stiles said. "Oh, I'm guessing you got a story to back this up?" The sheriff asked. "She might be helping the Benefactor..." Lydia said.
"Or is the Benefactor..." Stiles said. The sheriff looked at Leo. "Again. It's a possibility." Leo said. "That sounds like a story worth hearing." The sheriff said. Haigh is out in the bull pen contacting the Benefactor about his payment. The Sheriff leans out his door. "Anybody seen Parrish?" The sheriff asked. He looked at Haigh. "Haigh?" The sheriff asked. Haigh looked at him and shook his head. "Haven't seen him." Haigh said. Parrish then comes walking into the station, naked except for the soot covering his body. Some of his skin looks ravaged or maybe covered in the remnants of burnt clothes, but he's very much alive. Haigh sees him. "Holy..." Haigh said and starts to draw his gun, but Parrish attacks.
"GRRRRR!" Parrish growled. Haigh shoots a couple of wild shots inside the station and is stunned that Parrish is alive. "You're dead!" Haigh said. The Sheriff comes out with his gun drawn. "Hey! HEY!" The sheriff shouted. Parrish punches Haigh, which causes him to shoot the Sheriff in the shoulder. "Ugh!" The sheriff groaned as he fell to the floor. "But you're dead." Haigh said. Parrish keeps punching him until Haigh is knocked out. On Haigh's computer the Benefactor writes: Kill Not Confirmed. Stiles and Lydia looked at Leo. "Clam him down." Lydia said. Leo nodded.
He walked over to Parrish. "Parrish." Leo said. Parrish looked at him and looked like he was about to kill him. Leo started humming. Parrish calmed down. "What happened?" Leo asked. Parrish looked down at Haigh before looking at Leo. "He tried to burn me alive." Parrish said. Leo looked at him confused. "Then how are you alive?" Leo asked. "That's the thing. I don't know." Parrish said.
