I Can't Save Us

Chapter 19

Y/N POV

I was not able to sleep that well dahil naninibago ako sa bagong bahay. It's 4am and I decided to jog for an hour and wanted to go and buy Tricia her favorite bread. I texted her first to see if she's awake ayoko namang basta nalang kumatok sa kanila.

5:30 AM
Y/N: "Good morning Dr. Are you awake?"

5:35 AM
Tricia: "I am now. Good morning Dr. 😊"

5:37 AM
Y/N: "I'm outside your door. Can you please open up? 🤗"

After a few minutes, Tricia opened the door. She's still wearing her PJ's.

Tricia: "Y/N come in, come in. Okay ka lang ba? Bakit ang aga mo." tuloy tuloy na tanong nya while dragging me inside their condo.

Y/N: "I'm okay. Hindi lang ako nakatulog masyado. Nga pala I brought you these." sabay abot ko ng paper bag sa kanya.

She immediately smiled and hugged me.

Tricia: "Thank you. Hindi mo pa din nakakalimutan na paborito ko to."

Y/N: "Hinatid ko lang talaga to uuwi na din muna ako at hindi pa ako nakakapag ayos ng gamit para mamaya."

Tricia: "Do you want me to help you? I can go with you if you want?"

Y/N: "Sure ka lalabas kang ganyan?" I then pinch her nose lightly. "I'll pick you up later Dr. don't miss me too much okay."

Tricia: "Mag ingat ka sa pag drive." she said smiling.

When I got home. I go straight to shower and fix my bag for the event in Baguio. I was steaming my suit when I heard my doorbell ring.

Pagbukas ko ng pinto, I saw Gene, Jill, Sam and Tricia. I was surprised dahil napakaaga pa its only 8AM.

Gene: "Hello Hello Good Morning. Mang gugulo lang po." sabay pasok nya sa loob ng bahay.

Y/N: "Pasok kayo. What's with the early visit?"

Jill: "Well papunta kasi sana kami ng Podium to attend an indoor cycling class ni Gene. Ate heard about it and wanted to join kaya sya andidito..

Gene: "And I ask Sam if gusto nya sumama kaya andito kami ngayong lahat." sabay upo sa sofa.

Tricia: "Gusto mong sumama?" she asked while looking at me.

Sam: "Sumama ka na Y/N, first and last nating nagkita was friday last week and after that ni hindi ka man lang nagparamdam ulit samin." She said habang naka yakap sya sa braso ko.

I can see how Tricia's eye land on Sam's hand. Kaya agad ko itong tinanggal at pumunta ng kusina.

Y/N: "Kayo nalang muna siguro. I have to drive later kaya ayoko sanang magpagod masyado."

Jill: "Corny naman nito.  Sumama ka na may time ka pa matulog mamaya." I look at Tricia and she's just nodding along.

Y/N: "Fine. Magpapalit lang ako."

Tricia POV

Tapos na kaming umattend ng class. Ang saya sa pakiramdam pag pawisan, I was about to go to Y/N when I saw Sam, Erica and Jake talking to her.

Sam: "Parang hindi ka naman pinagpawisan." I saw how she keeps on touching Y/N's arms, back. Hay nako ang sarap hatakin.

Erica: "Nice to meet you, sana hindi ito ang last time na maka attend ka ng class ko."

Jake: "Hi I'm Jake."

Y/N: "Y/N nga pala. Please excuse me. I'll just go to the bathroom." she excuse herself and went outside the studio.

Nagulat ako when I heard Jill whisper to me.

Jill: "Puntahan mo na baka maunahan ka pa, at magbayad pa tayo for damaged property" sabay turo sa kamay ko na sobrang higpit ang hawak sa grip ng bike.

I walk outside the studio and saw Y/N changing shoes at a nearby bench.

Y/N: "How's the workout?" she said smiling

Tricia: "Okay lang naman. Nag enjoy ka naman ba?"

Y/N: "I did. It's a new experience but I enjoyed it."

Tricia: "mukha namang nag enjoy ka talaga." bulong ko naman.

Y/N: "Ano yun? May sinasabi ka ba?"

Tricia: "Wala wala. Maliligo na ko."

While showering I heard some of the students ask Y/N for a picture, a hug or some are even asking her to go out on a date. They still remember her from before when she was playing for Ateneo. I was drying my hair when I saw Y/N, Jill, Gene, Sam and Jake talking by the bench.

Jake: "Are you single Dr. Y/N?"

I saw Y/N look at me before answering.

Y/N: "I am single. But I am not available."

Gene: "Pa showbiz naman ang sagot nito."

Jill: "Wag nyo nang guluhin si Y/N. Ate matagal ka pa dyan. Tara na!"

Tricia: "Eto na. Susunod na."

Akala ko sabay sabay na silang lumabas ng locker.

Y/N: "Tulungan na kita dyan." sabay dampot ng bike shoes ko.

Tricia: "Thank you."

Sabay kaming lumabas hanggang parking I saw Jill and Gene na nasa sasakyan nya.

Tricia: "Si Sam nasan na?"

Gene: "Nauna na may lunch pa daw sya with family. Tara na kila Y/N tayo maglulunch."

Jill: "Magluluto si Y/N tara na."

Y/N: "Sila ang nagdecide. Let's go?"

She opened the door for me. Pagdating namin sa bahay nya, she started preparing all the ingredients she needs. Gene and Jill were at the sala chilling.

Tricia: "Can I help?" I said while picking up the onion.

Y/N: "Puntahan mo nalang sila. I can do this." she said while preparing everything

Tricia: "Are you sure? I can cut onions for you."

Y/N: "Patty you can bake but you can't cook. Ako na to." She said while ruffling my hair.

Gene and Jill where by the pool so naupo na lang ako sa sofa and started checking my phone. I received a few notifications and text from mama, ate Aika and work.

I was replying back to all of them when I saw RJ's text messages for me saying sorry for what happened and babawi sya. I don't know what to say to him so I chose not to reply. After lunch, Gene drive us home and we let Y/N sleep and rest for the entire afternoon as later she will drive us going to Baguio. Thinking about Baguio, I just hope everything goes well sa event na to since Ate has been preparing for this.
