I Can't Save Us

Chapter 24

Tricia's POV

I heard the shower turned off followed by a blower turning on. I gave her a few minutes before calling her.

Tricia: "Love???"

Y/N: "Yes Love?" She immediately went out of the bathroom and sit beside me kahit na medyo basa pa yung buhok nya.

I hug her and snuggle to her neck.

Tricia: "You smell good." I said while sniffing and giving little kisses on her neck.

Y/N: "Thank you." She smiled at me.

I did not stop kissing her neck.. she hold me by my shoulders and said to me.

Y/N: "Love if you're going to continue this I might not stop myself now.

Tricia: "Then please don't stop." and she kissed me hard on the lips. I was taken aback at first but after a few seconds I was able to respond.

After a few minutes of kissing we were out of breath she stopped kissing me and just hug me tight.

Y/N: "Napaka aggressive Love." sambit naman nito while breathing deeply.

Tricia: "Sinusulit lang. Antagal mong nawala Y/N ni hindi ko nga alam kung kelan ka babalik and I really miss you." she looked at me sincerely and smile timidly. As if remembering our past.

Y/N: "I'm sorry. I was hurt at that time that's why I chose to leave. I saw you on the TV with him kahit na ang sabi mo sakin nun may emergency ka, I put two and two together, then I realized that you chose him again over me." She looks down to her hands.

Tricia: "I'm so sorry Love. I was tricked that day. Ang sabi nila he was in accident kaya ko siya pinuntahan."

Y/N: "That's exactly my point Trish, you still chose him over me."

Then I saw her eyes change to being sad. Pero sandali lang.

Y/N: "But it's fine. Okay naman na tayo ngayon di ba? she asked not looking me in the eyes.

Tricia: "Yes Love. I love you and I'm yours. Sayo lang." after saying that last part she slowly look me in the eyes.

I can tell she still has doubts about our relationship and I understand that but I will make sure to show and make her feel everyday that I love her.

2 weeks passed...

We are all back in Manila. In 1 week Jill will fly back to NY for work and Y/N decided to extended her stay.

Aika: "Patty si Y/N ba sasama satin mamaya?"

Tricia: "Yes Ate. Ma nakapagpareserve na kami ni Ate for dinner despedida ni Jill."

Mama: "Salamat anak, nasan nga pala si Jill?"

Aika: "She's out with some of her friends ma. Lunch lang daw."

Mama: "Okay let her know na hinahanap ko sya. Papasok na muna ko. See you later."

After that I went to my room to call Y/N..

Tricia: "Hi Love, sama ka mamaya despedida ni Jill. Dinner?"

Y/N: "Sige Love. I'll pick you up at 6?"

Tricia: "No na Love magkita nalang tayo dun, Mama will drive us later alam mo naman, para sa paboritong anak." and we both laugh together.

Y/N: "Okay Love, just send me the details. I have to go I have an important meeting to attend to."

Tricia: "Sure Love take your time. I love you." then she just ended the call.

She did not say I love you too..
Maybe she's really in a hurry..
Why did she not say it back..

Ughh I'm overthinking this.

After lunch with Ate Aiks I fell asleep, woke up around 4pm and still no text nor call from her. As we went to the restaurant and I texted her the address.

Aika: "Kanina ka pa tingin ng tingin sa phone mo. Okay ka lang ba?"

Tricia: "Si Y/N kasi ate." I sigh

Aika: "Oh anong meron kay Y/N? She will join us tonight right?"

Tricia: "Feeling ko lang naman to baka nag ooverthink lang ako."

Aika: "Ano bang nangyari, just spill it out."

Tricia: "She did not say I love you back kanina nung tumawag ako sakanya. I know ang babaw ko pero ngayon lang kasi nangyari yun"

Aika: "Baka naman she's really in a hurry kanina. Talk to her about it. Mas okay na alam nya yan kaysa nag ooverthink ka dyan."

Nakarating na kami sa restaurant. Wala pa sila Mama and Jill. I saw Y/N on the phone habang nasa parking lot.

Tricia: "Ate puntahan ko lang si Y/N. Ayun na sya oh."

Aika: "Sige mauna na ko sa loob."

I was just a few cars away from Y/N and I can already hear her yelling on the phone.

Y/N: "How come we can't charge them of anything?! Hindi ba sapat yung evidence na sila lang ang nandun when it happened?! This is ridiculous!! I can't let Tricia go back to that hospital with that son of a bitch!" I heard her sigh.

I slowly walked to her and hug her from the back. She tenses for a bit but relaxes immediately.

Y/N: "I have to go. Thank you for the update atty."

Y/N POV

I turned to her and hug her tightly.

Tricia: "Is everything okay?"

I didn't response and just nodded my head no.

Tricia: "You want to talk about it now?"

Y/N: "Nope. It's Jill's night. We can talk about this tomorrow. Let's go inside?"

I held her hand and went inside the restaurant.
The dinner was great. The food was amazing. Everyone has their desserts serve when Tricia suddenly asked her mom..

Tricia: "Ma pwede bang kila Y/N muna ko mag stay this weekend?"

Mama Leni: "Oo naman. But you'll be there paghatid natin kay Jill right?"

Tricia: "Yes ma. Thank you."

Jill: "Kelan pala balik mong NY Y/N?"

Y/N: "I'll just finish some engagements here medyo may kailangan lang akong tapusin before I decide to go back."

Aika: "Baka naman si Tricia ang reason mo kaya di ka pa bumabalik sa NY ah?"

Jill: "Pag ibig nga naman."

Mama Leni: "Okay lang ba ang company mo dun anak kung mag eextend ka ng stay dito."

Y/N: "Nothing to worry naman po tita. i have the best team to assist me naman po sa company kahit wala ako dun physically."

I felt Tricia hold my hand under the table, kaya napalingon ako sakanya. She just smile at me and continue on happily eating her dessert.

After dinner we all bid our goodbyes. On our way home Tricia fell asleep. Nasa gate na kami ng bahay pero parang ang lalim na ng tulog nya.
