Skylar and Kaitlyn both ran down the stairs, eager to see who was at the door. Pushing each other playfully, they laughed and soon Skylar's hand grasped the handle and pulled the door open, revealing a fidgeting Lucas.

"Oh hi Lucas." Skylar said, not even able to hide the disappointment in her voice, closing the door just enough to block out Kaitlyn.

"Can I talk to Kaitlyn?" He asked, and Skylar put a hand on her hip a pursed her lips, pretending to think for a moment. Meanwhile Kaitlyn was tugging on the door.

"I'm here Lucas!" She yelled, wiggling the door.

"Kaitlyn...hmm...oh that Kaitlyn! No, she isn't home." Skylar told him, shaking her head and patting his shoulder, all while trying to keep a firm grip on the door.

Suddenly the door slipped out of her hand and Skylar was grabbed and tugged back into the house, the door slamming in her face. She ended up in a fit of giggles, rushing towards the side window to peek outside.

Her heart was racing nervously as Alex's car pulled up along the curb, his eyes immediately went to Lucas who was chatting it up with Kaitlyn.

A groan escaped Skylar's lips and she rushed to grab her purse and make sure she had everything before opening the door. But it was too late, Alex was already heading to the front door and Lucas had already seen him.

"Skylar, what did I tell you?" Lucas growled, his arm holding both of the girls back, his teeth clenched.

Kaitlyn spoke up in her defense immediately. "Hey, leave her alone Lucas." She grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back but he wouldn't move.

"What are you doing here?" Lucas snapped at Alex, and Alex immediately put his hands up in defense. He didn't want a fight.

"Just coming to pick up Skylar for a date." Alex replied smoothly, motioning for her to come closer. Skylar's arm was immediately grabbed by Kaitlyn, and she shook her head, giving her that give-it-a-minute look.

"Why won't you just back off? Haven't you caused enough trouble?" Lucas looked at Alex as if he was simply stupid as he balled his hands into fists while Alex tried his best to remain peaceful.

"I had no control over that! I was a kid. Can't you just back off?" Alex shouted, his anger getting the best of him as he shifted forward, his hands balling up into fists as well.

"You killed Ava!" Lucas yelled, getting too close to Alex for Skylar's comfort. Sky somehow managed to slip by Lucas, and stood in front of Alex, glaring at Lucas.

"Back off." She spat, getting protective of her boyfriend. She reached behind herself and laced her fingers with Alex's, stroking his hand soothingly as she gently led him back to his car.

Lucas didn't come after them.

They both got inside, and Alex immediately drove off, knowing Skylar would be immensely unhappy if he started a fight. He pulled up at a cozy restaurant that Skylar had been to before and they went inside, all the while Skylar's hand never leaving his.
