As Skylar stumbled along the road, she let the sobs escape from her lips. The very thought of Alex made her stomach twist into knots that hurt like hell.
Fumbling for her phone in her purse, she stared at her contacts. Calling her parents just wasn't an option. And now, neither was calling Kaitlyn. Lucas would be upset with her, but she knew he wouldn't bring it up with her in this state.
Clicking on Lucas's name, she waited for his voice to fill her ear. Her teeth gnawed on the inside of her cheek as she tried to keep away the tears.
"Baby Blue?" Lucas asked, his voice sounding tired and weighed down.
"Lucas." She whimpered, walking up to a gas station and sliding down the brick wall onto the ground.
"What's wrong?" He asked, more alert now, sounding immensely worried.
Letting out the sob that had been building up, she tried her best to answer. "C-Can...y..y-you...come..p..pick me.. up."
"Where are you?"
"I... I don't know." She let out another sob, attracting the attention of some people passing by. "I'm on... the road that leads..to Alex's house."
"Hang in there Sky. I'll be there soon." And with that, they both hung up and Skylar put her phone into her purse. Her entire body trembled, her hand sore from slapping him. She didn't understand. Why had he done that?
The tears stained Alex's shirt and she closed her eyes, trying to push everything out of her mind. Especially Alex and the photo.

Alex's P.O.V.
As soon as Skylar had left, Alex made the guys leave soon after, but he had stolen Nick's phone from him.
Flipping through the photo's, he found the one of Skylar, for a moment he just stared at it, guilt washing over his body relentlessly.
The delete button was surprisingly hard to press, despite the fact that it would kill him to have Nick post that picture all over the school. Alex's eyes only flickered once to the rest of her body but the rest of the time, they were staring at her eyes. In the photo, she looked so scared and so mad. You could see her biting her lip to keep from crying.
The sight itself nearly killed him.
Therefore, he pressed the button, not wanting to cause her anymore harm.
Throwing the phone across the room, he yelled at the air that seemed to be suffocating him. How had he been so stupid! He could've just told Skylar the truth! He could've told her that one day he would leave her, yes, but that he would come back for her.
But, he didn't. He made her hate him and he might've broken her heart even more now than he would've by just leaving.
Immediately, he called her cell, hoping that he could beg forgiveness. The line was busy! It frustrated him to no end. After phoning seven times, he gave up, throwing his phone across the room as well.
Tomorrow he would confront her and do whatever it took to get her to forgive him. So with that thought in his head, he went into his bedroom and laid down in his bed, unable to sleep.

Lucas's P.O.V.
If I wasn't so worried about getting Skylar home and safe, I would be going to Alex's house to kill him, Lucas thought. He knew the type of person Alex was and knew just how he treated women. Which was the main reason he had insisted Skylar had stayed away from him.
He was just grateful that Skylar had called him.
Finally, he pulled up to the curb of a sketchy-looking gas station where Skylar sat, leaning against the wall. Her arms were wrapped around her legs, her knees pulled up to her chest.
When she looked at him, he saw her cheeks stained with her eyeliner and mascara, lines through the stains, indicating that she had been crying heavily.
When he got out of the car, the first thing that hit him was the stench of cigarette smoke and alcohol. Heading over to Skylar, he helped her up and wrapped his arms around her. She went limp against him, her body shaking slightly. He could feel her cold hands through the back of his shirt and he slowly rubbed her back, attempting to console her.
He didn't mention Alex at all, he just kept repeating. "Shh...it's alright...you're okay." Over and over again in hushed whispers. Standing up, he held her bridal style and carried her tired body to the car, setting her down in the front passenger seat. He buckled her in much like you would a child and closed her door.
Then, he walked around to the other side of the car and got in, only reaching over to take her hand in his after he had started the car.

Skylar's P.O.V
She couldn't say that she wasn't disappointed. It would've been the perfect little fairy tale to have fallen in love with the bad boy. Those are the types of stories everyone wants to read anyways.
Unfortunately, Skylar's story wasn't turning out that way. She had come to the very startling, and yet already expected, conclusion that bad boys were jerks.
If she could have described how she felt in that moment, it would be tired. Her heart felt heavy and so did her body. She wasn't entirely broken yet, though. So don't be mistaken.
However, she knew people would see her as that. Just another one of Alex's toys that has been thrown away.
Now, as Lucas drove them back to his place, she felt numb and let her hand go limp in his. She didn't want to talk about it, as she knew exactly what he would say. Or maybe he simply wouldn't say anything. Lucas was just great like that. If something happened, he wouldn't bring up the words "I told you so", simply because they were hanging in the air already. You knew what you had done wrong, there was no reason for him to remind you.
Everyone had told her to stay away from Alex and it just didn't seem like an option. But now, she would.

Finally, they pulled up to Lucas's house, and he helped her inside. No words were spoken as he took her into his bedroom, and gave her a hug before leaving her. She had known there was no chance he'd have her sleep on the couch. So, she curled up in his bed and pulled the blankets up to her chin, listening to him get to sleep on the couch, until she fell asleep.

Author's note:
Hey guys!
I know the chapters short, I just wanted a filler so everyone could know how the separate characters feel in this situation. The only person's feelings we don't know is Kaitlyn's, but that will come in the next chapter.
I would've written sooner, but with this bad cold I have, and with school, and Christmas, I just haven't had the chance.
I know most of you are furious with Alex, but deep breaths. Give him time and give Skylar time. In fact, give everyone time.
Including me, so I can write the next update.
Hugs and A Merry Christmas to everyone!,
Kenna~
