Skylar's P.O.V.
The sand stuck to her feet but was washed away soon as the waves calmly pooled over her feet, retreating into the water soon after. Her head hurt less, the pounding subsiding but the memories still somewhat there. She wondered what it had been like for Alex to watch her dance and have fun, a little too much fun actually.Eventually he had laid down beside her, closing his eyes. It was peaceful, listening to the seagulls and the families around them. Skylar would pick up a conversation or two from the bustling family's or two lovers, laying on a blanket together. It made her wonder what Alex and her looked like. Brother and sister? Friends? Lovers? Sometimes she wished she was able to know what other people thought, because sometimes their opinions mattered most of all.
Sand tickled her body, managing to get in her clothes and her hair. She was sure she looked absolutely filthy. She wondered what Alex was thinking, where they stood. Being in a relationship with the schools player would probably be the most terrifying thing ever, so she wasn't sure how that would go.
Maybe he wouldn't even want her and they'd just go on as usual. As if nothing had happened. And really, nothing had. Having a bit of fun together was nothing, he probably thought they were still friends. But if he didn't.... all the different situations bounced around her head, and she was not able to focus on one at a time. Some were painful, others okay and some just made her feel like she was floating. It would take awhile for her to decide which one she would get to live.
Propping herself up on her elbows, she watched the warm waves lap over her feet, almost lulling her to sleep. Then she looked over at Alex. His eyes were closed... he had such beautifully long eyelashes... his hair was sticking up, though that was hard to tell because he was laying down, his whole face looked calm. Serene.
She wanted to rest her head on his outstretched arm and fall asleep. But, with not knowing where they stood, she couldn't.
So instead she poked him in the side, receiving a swat in the arm for it.
"Ow." Skylar said, quite loudly and he just opened his eyes, shooting her a smirk.
"I was almost asleep. You did not need to poke me." He said, groaning softly as he sat up.
"You'll live. I'm hungry." She retorted and Alex glared at her for a second.
"Would you like to be dropped in the water again?" He said, a teasing smirk playing at the corners of his lips. Punching him in the arm lightly, she bit back a smile.
"Your mean." She pouted.
"Get used to it princess." He shot her a grin, and stood up, holding out a hand for her. Rolling her eyes at his nickname for her, Sky took his hand and pulled herself up, brushing the sand that was covering her body. Shivering softly as a gentle breeze ruffled her hair.
"C'mon, I know an amazing ice cream parlour. It's a long walk, think you can handle it hotshot?" She teased, pulling her hair into a ponytail with the hair tie she had on her wrist.
"Oh, I can handle anything." Alex shot back, smirking as he motioned for her to lead the way. Pulling her flats on, she walked forward, hips swaying as she crossed the beach.

He followed her, smirking as she swayed her hips teasingly. "Where are we going?" He asked her, placing a hand on her back and walking beside her.
"Annie's Ice cream parlour." She replied and he immediately picked her up, swinging her over his shoulder and keeping her there as she shrieked.
"I know where that is." He said, laughing at her when she started pounding on his back with her fists.
