A concerned Blackbeard said "Fang, go see that the boy's okay, will you?"

Frenchie overheard him. "Sorry, sorry about that. I forgot to tell Fang that you wanted him to get back to Lucius."

"No worries, he's heading there now. You, my good man, should set a course that will take us back to the island."

"Set a course? I'm not sure I can do that, sir. I've been mostly working at not crashing into anything bigger than us."

"I'll take over, Cap'n." said Ivan. "Okay if Jim keeps me company?"

"Sure, man. Okay with you Jim?"

"Why not?" Jim answered.

"Well, that leaves me free. Do you have anything that you want sewn?" Frenchie asked Blackbeard.

"Now that's a really nice offer, mate. I may have something later. Right now I think I should go 'n find Izzy. You think you could try your hand at stirrin' up some lunch?"

Frenchie had a way of smiling that said "Leave it to me, I got this", and a way of smiling that said "...a...sure. If that's what you really want...". Blackbeard hadn't learned the difference yet.

Frenchie headed to the galley, trying to remember some of what he'd seen Roach doing there. When he got there, Izzy was sitting at the long table, steam coming from the tea in his tin cup.

"Captain's lookin' for you, mate."

"I'm not your mate, you brainless simpleton" said Izzy, storming out.

"Well, he can just keep looking." Izzy thought. "He keeps making a fool of me, day after day. When we get back to that bloody island, and leave, a second time, maybe there'll be more than (he counted off the castaways in his head) six bodies left for the seagulls to feast on.
