This chapter: "AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES—"
It feels like this story should be longer... I won't make it any longer because I don't want to drag it out though. Is it weird that I feel like this has been passing by faster than my 10-chapter stories?
(This chapter isn't the end btw, we have at least like 5 – 6 chapters left.)
Also sorry for the long note again but you know how I said I don't really like angst? That still applies but I'm wondering if that means I can't write angst either. Do the sadder things in the story make you feel, like, angsty? Or am I too light on the whole thing?
Anyway, enjoy like 3K words of fluff now <3

Day Two
She woke up on the bed, and yet, she couldn't be more confused.
She left him on the bed the afternoon prior... Falling asleep near the dining table was the last thing she remembered.
She wasn't supposed to be on the bed. Why was she? She wasn't a sleepwalker.
Perhaps another kind of walker was involved.
She found no one in the kitchen. Her stomach was grumbling, though. So, after having a small breakfast consisting of half an apple, she started searching again.
No one was in the bathroom, yet her gaze couldn't help but focus on the barrel in the corner. A smaller one rested nearby.
They were both in need of a shower after almost drowning, that was for sure. But the small barrel would be too heavy for each of them to pour down on themselves. Not on their own, at least.
She rubbed her arms, unsure of what to think of her thought. She wanted to shake it off, but it prevailed until she descended down the stairs.
She was glad he wasn't there to witness her burning face when she arrived at the workshop. That still left the location of his whereabouts up in the air, however.
She noticed some of the tools were missing, as well as one of the blueprints. Were there always that few planks on the floor as well?
She headed upstairs again, staring out the kitchen window.
There he was, working on fixing the boat by the shore. He had already nailed down a few planks, though it was far from complete.
Instead of relief, frustration filled her veins. She swung the door open more violently than she would have liked, but she didn't care.
His face lit up when he saw her approaching. A smile appeared, though the nails he held between his lips quickly forced him to stop. He pulled them out, opening his mouth to speak.
"Did you carry me to bed?" Her tone was harsher than in his fantasy. "And let me sleep in?"
He nodded, his grin returning.
It fell once he realised that not a sign of her dimples was apparent. Instead, she frowned. "You're the one who's supposed to be resting."
"Oh, it's fine." He waved his hand dismissively, then gave the boat's planks a hard pat. "I've already gotten attached now. I've named her Wisp Two after my horse."
"So your horse is named Wisp One?"
He creased his eyebrows, almost offended. "No, that's a stupid name," he said. "But Cole always said that ships must be named after a lady because they're similar. So..."
