The warmth of her brother's arms still clinged onto her as she walked towards the dock. It was a hug long-needed, but one that certainly wouldn't be the last.

As she approached the familiar ship, she gathered all her strength to carry her belongings; of course, the one thing that stayed present was the pendant pinned on her dress.

A pirate saw her approaching; and then another. They shouted something towards the ship, though she couldn't really decipher it.

Soon enough, the bridge went down, allowing her to climb up to the deck.

She looked behind her one more time. Giving her brother a small wave, she didn't hold back her tears.

When she turned around, however, her expression was more determined than ever.

She stood in front of the familiar states, the pirates around her waiting for his arrival. She pivoted her foot on the ground, fidgeted with her hands, did anything to keep her distracted.

He climbed up the stairs with a frown. He saw her. His smile reached his ears.

He dropped every map and sword that he was holding, running towards her to scoop her in his arms. He almost stumbled, practically falling onto her as he spun her around the air. Through her laughs, she hugged his shoulders.

Once she landed, he didn't hesitate to steal a kiss. His hug was so tight that they couldn't last for more than a few seconds.

"You're here," he said in the happiest of tones, his voice laced with a mixture of tears and joy.

"I love you," she said immediately. When his eyes widened, she stole a peck on his cheek to distract him from their reddening faces. "Gotta rip the old bandaid off," she said awkwardly.

He smiled, looking down at their pendants. He put them together, combining them into a perfect circle.

"You're actually staying?" he said in disbelief, mostly to himself. Nevertheless, she smiled.

"Always and forever," she leaned in to whisper, sending shivers down his spine. That time, she was the one to initiate the hug.

He buried his face in her hair, letting out a sigh of relief at last. He silently cradled her in his arms, placing small kisses on her head every now and again.

"How about Shintaro as our first destination?" he suggested with a smug smile.

She shook her head. With a single peck upon his nose, he was back to his normal, shy self.

"Aye, Captain," she said. And with one final laugh, their lips connected once more.
