They were nearing the harbour.

She peeked over the rails. The island was similar to Ninjago in shape, and yet it was the complete opposite in everything else. Dark, gloomy, fog surrounding its shores... And, of course, the giant palace in the very center, one more colourful than anything else on the isle.

She searched for him around the deck. Eventually, she found him in the back of the ship, sitting on the floor against a wall. Few people were there, next to none when she arrived.

She slowly walked towards him. "Everything okay?"

He hugged his knees, closing his eyes for a moment. Finally, he sighed. "I don't know..."

She sat beside him. "Positive thinking," she reminded him. "You'll get to see your friends again."

"I don't know if they want to see me, though."

"What did you do that was so bad? They were in on the whole 'murdering the King' thing."

"Poison," he corrected her. "The princess wanted to poison him and she somehow thought that I was fit for the job." He frowned, lowering his head. "I accidentally spilled a drop on the tablecloth while pouring it and his counselor saw it."

"You took all the blame for that?"

"I had to... If they arrested everyone, then we'd have no hope of saving the Kingdom." He let out a shaky breath, along with an awkward chuckle. "And now they probably hate me."

She put her hand on his shoulder, leaning her head against it. "I wouldn't hate you in their place," she said.

He took a minute to respond. "I just hope that they're alright." He turned to face her, but she didn't back away regardless of the closeness of their faces. His gaze was intense, but she didn't budge. "Nya, promise me that you'll be very, very careful. I know Kai's there and all, but it's not a good place to live in."

Her gaze softened. All she could do was nod. "Promise."

He threw his arms around her, and she let out a sigh of relief. That was the warmth they needed.

Wu was right; there were posters of her everywhere.

They knew it wasn't the most ideal option, but she used the blanket as a cape and pulled its makeshift hood over her head. Few seemed to recognise her that way.

That wasn't the same for him, however. The occasional looks they would give him didn't go unnoticed, and yet no one would dare to open their mouth. They continued.

Walking across the docks, they couldn't help but glance at a familiar ship. Long gone was the skull on its sails but the structure remained the same. No one tried to attack it, no one ran away from it. It simply lay there peacefully as a few pirates unloaded treasures on the dock.

He was unsure of what to say. "You don't think it could be..."

"I don't care," she said. She didn't take her gaze away from the ground. "But if I do see Flintlocke, I'm giving him a piece of my mind for sinking our ship."

"Positive thinking," he reminded her in a more teasing tone. "Besides, maybe that whole thing tuned out well for us. We got to stay at the lighthouse and... talk. And also meet my parents in Ninjago."
