Eddie Kaspbrak has always loved Richie Tozier. When they were little, they were so close they would joke about being soulmates. But they grew up. And Richie got a boyfriend. He remembers when he found out about Connor. He was devastated. He really thought that Richie liked him back. But he was wrong.
And now its Connors birthday. And this morning Eddie watched Connor waltz in the school showing Richie his stupid pink streak. Eddie is at home now, he's been crying ever since he stepped foot in his bedroom.
Theres a knock on his door. He stands up and opens it. Bev.
"Your mom let me in." She says with a sad smile, holding Eddies favorite candy.
Eddie doesn't say anything, he just hugs Bev and starts to cry again. She holds him tight, feeling awful. Everyone knows that Eddie likes Richie. And they all thought that Richie and Eddie were going to turn out being soulmates. They were honestly shocked when they saw the pink on Connors wrist earlier today.
Bev stays the night at Eddies, letting him vent and cry into her shoulder until they both fall asleep.
