[Isn't Xara dead?] 707
Ryker pulled out his staff as Lurkers burst through the door. Ryker rushed forward and slammed his staff into the ground. The ground rippled, toppling Lurkers over and sending them flying into the sky.
Ryker lunged forward, stabbing three lurkers in the head and swiping them sideways. Ryker struck the side of a Lurker, splitting it in half, blood spreads everywhere. Pieces of bone scattered the ground, the rapid gunshots of his men sounded in his ears behind him. [Why would you slice it in half when you need to destroy the brain?] 708
Cassian on the other hand was doing just find. Ryker summons a sheet of ice upwards from the ground. ["Doing just find"] 709
Cassian rushed up it and stabbed two lurkers in the head. Sending them crumbling to the ground, their bodies becoming almost like slime. [Why are they turning into slime? There is no logic behind this.] 710
Ryker stabbed forward, then brought his staff up along a Lurkers body. Ryker stabbed the head of the Lurker behind it, and proceeded to send a shard through it and into any behind it he could strike. [1: Why did you stab the lurkers in the chest, and 2: why are you sending a shard into a lurker, not sending it into a lurker's head?] 712
Ryker used the Lurker to leap up and slam the ground, sending an electric shock to the brains of the Lurkers. The Lurkers all collapsed in front of Ryker. [Did Ryker fry their brains?]
A smoke grenade was thrown into the room, exploding not so long after it did. A cloud filled the room, limiting the vision of him and his friends and units. [How is a smoke grenade in any capacity effective in this situation?] 713
"Fire!" Ryker shouted, launching a flame to where they might be. The units fired into the smoke, what sounded like people falling, broke the silence after the long barrage.
Ryker attempted to clear the smoke in front of them, but only partially succeeded. The sound of fans began to ring through the building. Which should help clear the smoke out in a limited amount of time. As the smoke began to clear out, they realized who it was.
It was Xara's remaining group trying to get revenge on them for killing their leader.
"What do we do, Ryker?" the Commander of the unit that was at the facility inquired.
"If they want to strike us, then we don't know how much people are still left in Xara's base." Ryker paused. Being a leader of an entire Military Organization centered around the peace and protection of the entire world which was merged between 2 others was quite a difficult task. [What base?] 714
"Then we must find it, and blow it to nothing." Ryker decided, "Even if it means we don't contain the Lurkers in time." [You...already did that.] 715
The plan to build a wall across the border of the zone only allowing Survivors in and out was a plan Markus didn't entirely agree with, but in the end, agreed to. As Survivors would be safe and able to live a normal life, now, whatever happens to the place they live in about 1,000 years later...that would be different and is off topic for what was to happen now. [*Thinks about 1,000 years ahead while in the midst of a battle*] 716
"What do you think, Markus and Cassian?" Ryker asked.
"I agree," Markus decided without hesitation, "We must make sure Xara's group is dead. Especially since she was the one who tried to kill us all."
Ryker nodded, "Cassian?"
Cassian nodded, "I agree. I don't know her, but from the amount of people wanting to betray her...that says enough."
"It's final, strike the base once at Dawn, once at Midnight, and once at Dusk. We'll strike different locations in between. During the morning, I want you all to focus air strikes all the largest amounts of Lurkers you can locate." [THE. BASE. IS. GONE.] 717
The Commander nodded, "Very well, I'll tell the pilots."
With that said, Ryker stepped outside. His escort had taken off to avoid being harmed by the Lurkers, but so far, was good.
Ryker signaled for his escort to land, and watched as the aircraft landed softly on the ground. Ryker signaled for Markus and Cassian to get on. "Pilot, take them to the front line where we'll be striking the base at dawn. I want them to see the action." [What base?] 718
Ryker transmitted the coordinates of where the pilot will stand by.
"How are you going to get there, Ryker?" Markus asked.
"The classic way," Ryker responded, "From the times we had together before making this less than 1 month ago." [We now get a definitive amount of time between them killing Xara and now. The amount of time between the two events is fucking absurd.] 719
"3 days..."
The pilot lifted into the air, and rushed off to the location that Ryker wanted them to be at. They would certainly enjoy what they would later witness, the one event that would change the course of the current fight for control of the overall region. The longest fight Ryker felt he would end up enduring.
Ryker summoned a portal, flying through it. They immediately arrived near the destined location of the air strike to occur at midnight. [Since when can Ryker open portals?] 720
The airship arrived not to long after. Ryker flew Spark over next to them.
"I see you've brought Spark along." Markus commented.
"Well, he hasn't stretched his wings in a long time." Ryker responded, scratching the fur on Spark's neck.
"Besides, I haven't been with Spark for two days."
Ryker looked back to face the building that blew up once was about to be blown up for the second, third, and fourth time. [Is one time not enough?] 721
"Well, how much longer?"
Ryker looked at this watch on his wrist, "Not to long now." [Plot convenient watch.] 722
The sun had already been long gone since the time attack had happened.
Only on this side of the world at least, where time was different. [POV: You are now Ryker learning about timezones.] 723
Ryker waited as time dragged on. Only did Ryker notice something, something bright in the building searching the ruins.
"That's somebody from her group, isn't it?" Markus asked Ryker.
"I hope it is, even if they aren't, they'll be in for a nasty surprise either way." Ryker stated. [Ryker casually stating he's going to kill an innocent person, even if they're not apart of Xara's group.] 724
"Good thing I told the rest of the groups within a close proximity to avoid the building even before we became a real thing."
The sound of engines approaching faintly entered Ryker's ears.
"They're here." Ryker announced. Ryker pressed a switch he had in his hand. The target lit up with flares firing around it. [When did they put these flares down?] 725
The airships sounded even closer and closer, soon, they where in sight. Lights flashing to signal their approach to ground forces.
The airships flew over the building, dropping their bomb package on the building. Lighting it up and destroying it completely.
Target 1 was down. Target 2 would be near one of the shores near the rivers that separated the two landmasses.
Ryker watched with satisfaction as the building burned slowly to the ground. [Feel like there was nothing left. Also sociopath?] 726
