WR but we rat on it

Chapter 4

Ryker looked around at the watchful eyes and the person standing on the opposite side of him, looking around nervously, as if another one of those creatures would explode out of the bushes anytime.

"Nice to meet you, Ryker, my name is Markus." Markus introduced himself then began introducing his friends. [Just met. Here are my friends, random stranger!] 26

"This is Lennox," he said, gesturing to his side, then to the other, "This is Lancelot," then he waved his hand to the very back of the group, "And they are Allen and Jesse who are guarding the back." [Unrealistic naming pt. 14,323,091 electric boogaloo.] 27

As Markus said each one of them, they either waved or did nothing. Ryker stared at the group, he still wasn't sure if he should be suspicious of them or not. 

Ryker looked over to the other nervous person standing opposite of him. "And who is he?"

Markus shrugged, "I don't know. We just came out of the portal with you." ["We" just came out of the portal with you. Not him, we.] 28

Ryker proceeded to the other person, "So...who are you?"

The person looked at Ryker than back to the group of people who where looking expectantly at the stranger.

"My name is Cassian," the stranger finally announced, "I serve the Lion Kingdom." ["Mine own nameth is cassian", the stranger finally announced, "I s'rve the lion kingdom."]

Ryker thought this was strange, kingdoms didn't exist in his place, only...cities. Well, cities that murder each other for the right to gain territory from every other city there was to conquer. [Idk man, sounds like a nation to me.] 29

Markus glanced back over to the trees, "We should get going. The Lurkers will be back eventually, especially with all the noise we made here." [More logic?!??!?!?!?] 30

Ryker nodded as Markus broke into a run down the hills where a burnt trail in the grass was left. Ryker followed Markus closely, he noticed Cassian was also alongside the group as they ran from the forest where a pile of Lurkers now lay. After a while of running, they finally halted near an abandoned wooden shack. Vines hung down from the roof while bushes grew up the sides of the shack, as nature began to take it over. As they approached the shack, the undergrowth became thicker and taller, reaching up to Ryker's knee as he trudged through the undergrowth with the rest of the group he was now with. Markus opened the shack door, making a creaking sound so loud they might as well move somewhere else already. [Lurkers never appear because of this. (I think)] 31 Markus stepped inside, the rest of his group followed. Ryker came in behind with the rest of them, Cassian following him in. Markus was already facing the door, another person from his group closed the door behind them then stood in front of it. Ryker looked around, all five of them where in a circle around Ryker and Cassian.

"What do you want?" Ryker faced Markus, adrenaline suddenly pumping through him as his body was getting ready for a fight. [This kids is why you don't go into the stranger's shed when they offer you candy.] 32

"We want to know why you're here, Ryker, same for you Cassian. Did you come to murder us? Help us?" Markus inquired, drawing his pistol out of it's holster but not pointing it at Ryker nor Cassian. 

"We didn't come here on our own. A portal just suddenly opened up and-" Markus cut him off.

"You expect me to believe that you just where suddenly sucked into a hole and brought here? You obviously came on your own." Markus stated, his pistol now aimed at somebody, although Ryker couldn't tell if it was him or Cassian. [Confusing dialogue?] 33

"I wouldn't have any reason to come here! Besides, why does this place even exsist so far in the future?" [Don't think Ryker's a time traveler.] 34
